Story
Dijon is one pup out of a litter of 10 that my dog had on accident. One of the photos he is sitting next to his mother who is the doberman mix and his father is a malinois mix. Dijon is a very loyal and sweet puppy, he is almost 4 months old now and is nearly fully potty trained. He will stand at the door when he needs to go out and loves the praise for going outside. Dijon is also very smart, he knows how to sit and lay down already and is mastering giving a paw. Dijon gives the most serious eye contact that indicates how loving and loyal he will be with his forever parents. I personally love him to death and am so proud of how he has grown since a little baby. Dijon deserves a good home that will show him the world, take him out to the park, and spoil him like he deserves. Dijon plays very well with his siblings and holds his own when playing with his mother. He loves toys and chasing around. He still is a puppy so he is learning not to bite but will get nippy when super excited.

Story
This is a very difficult decision for us, but we are looking for a new home for our 10-month-old Doberman, Gohan. He is an incredibly loyal and loving boy, full of energy and in need of an active home that can provide him with the exercise and mental stimulation he deserves. We originally got Gohan from a reputable Doberman breeder, but with our long work hours and two other dogs at home, we haven't been able to give him the time and attention he truly needs. He thrives with structure, training, and adventure, making him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Gohan is reactive to other dogs, but he recently attended a 1-month board and train program and has made great progress, especially on walks. With continued training and consistency, he can continue improving. However, he would still do best in a home where he is the only pet. He is eager to learn, incredibly affectionate, and will be the most loyal companion to the right person.

Valor IS AVAILALBE (updated 08-23-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Valor, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22772&name=ValorMeet our &#39V litter&#39: Venus, Vida, Valerie, Vega and Valor! They are part of a litter of 12 puppies that were found in a field in the city of Perris. There were several stray dogs in the area but no obvious mom dog. The puppies were rescued by Good Samaritans who took them in, cleaned and fed them, and did their best to find good homes for them. They were able to place 7 puppies before asking Coastal GSR for help finding homes for the rest.We had this adorable litter DNA tested so that we could know for sure what breeds they are! The results are in: Doberman, Husky, German Shepherd and a small amount of Chow Chow. They are smart puppies that don&#39t seem to be phased at all by their rough start. The puppies are young but are in the process of being housebroken, learning to use a dog door, and being crate trained! They are making great progress!Valor is the only male that Coastal received from the original litter of 12 puppies. He cautious and reserved and is sometimes pushed around by Venus, his slightly bigger sister. He is social with his littermates and, like Vida, loves to be snuggled and cuddled. Give Valor a little time to adjust to new circumstances and he will be your best friend for life. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.September 26, 2024, 12:22 am

Story
*Hospice Family Needed!* Meet Jessie! 9-year-old was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program after her mom passed away at the age of 96. She had adopted Jessie from Downey Shelter 4 years ago. Jessie is a shy, gentle girl who is doing her best to adjust after losing her person and home. Fortunately, Jessie went on an extended Frosted Fling, which gave her the opportunity to decompress while we have learned what she is like in a home setting. It was in her Fling home that she suddenly seemed to become ill, and tests showed that she had a mass on her spleen. The decision was made to remove her spleen, and resilient Jessie came through the surgery with flying colors. Sadly, as she was sailing through recovery, we learned the splenic mass was malignant. Jessie doesn't know she is sick, and she sure doesn't act like it! She is a happy sun-loving, beach-going girl who recently started playing with toys. As you can see in the video, she loves racing the other dog in her fling home to be first to the door (and treats). Here is more of what we have learned about this amazing dog: * Jessie likes people, dogs, and cats. She especially likes bigger dogs and is more confident and playful when she can follow one's lead. * She is very gentle with eating, on leash, taking treats * She is great while riding in the car and loves going for walks. * She now plays with toys and tries to get her fling buddy to play, too. * Jessie doesn't climb up on furniture but strategically positions herself near you to maximize petting opportunities! * Jessie gently puts her head in your lap or nudges your hand to ask for pets. Jessie currently lives in a Foster home where she is being showered with love and attention and given every comfort possible. If you would like to become her forever family for however long she has left, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org.
