Story
Rex is our very special sweetheart. In the home, he is an absolute cuddle bug who can be slow to warm up with new people. Once you earn his trust, he is the most loyal little man ever. Rex loves to play tug-of-war and despite being a tripod, he has the stamina to run for a while! He is a bit of an anxious fellow and would do best as an only dog in the house--he has been bit by a large breed dog before and is reactive with most of them.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750 Meet Xerox – Your Future Adventure Buddy & Velcro Companion! Xerox is a 4-5 month old Doberman Pinscher with a heart as big as his puppy paws. When he was rescued from the shelter, he was barely 20 pounds—skinny, scared, and unsure of the world. But fast forward a couple of weeks, and this boy has discovered the joy of play, cuddles, and full-blown Doberman energy. He’s now a healthy 35 pounds and growing fast! Daily Routine – AKA, Xerox’s Puppy Agenda Xerox is an early riser—we’re talking before the sun early! His day starts with a potty break, some playtime, and breakfast at 5:30 AM (which he will remind you about, loudly). After fueling up, he heads outside for a good romp with his foster brother, Lucian, a 7-year-old Doberman who has taken him under his wing. During the day, Xerox relaxes in his crate while his humans are at work, with a midday play session to break things up. By 3:30 PM, it’s time for another round of outdoor zoomies or a walk, followed by dinner at 4:30 PM (again, he will make sure you don’t forget). Evenings are for family time, snuggles, and recharging for another day of fun! Personality – From Timid to Totally Thriving When Xerox first arrived, he was afraid of everything—even doorways. But with a little love (and some help from Lucian), he has transformed into a happy, bouncy, affectionate pup. He’s discovered that life is actually pretty awesome—especially when there are cuddles involved. Xerox now loves kisses, enjoys belly rubs, and has even mastered the “give me a kiss” command (because, of course, he aims to please). He’s a classic Velcro Doberman, always keeping an eye on his humans and sticking close. However, his absolute favorite thing? Following Lucian around like a little shadow and copying everything his big foster brother does! Social Life – Making Friends & Winning Hearts Xerox is great with other dogs and adores playing with them. He met his foster family’s 11- and 13-year-old nephews, and they instantly became best friends. He even let them take him on a walk to the park, proving that he’s the perfect mix of playful and chill. When he visited a friend’s house with a Bernese Mountain Dog, he had the time of his life—and now, he happily hops into the car, excited for any new adventure. Training & Smart Puppy Things Xerox is crate trained and learning house manners, though he still has the occasional accident (we’re working on it!). Since he was likely potty pad trained before, he’s getting used to doing his business on grass instead of your favorite door mat. He’s food-motivated and super smart, already mastering 'sit' and working on 'off' for his excited puppy jumps. And speaking of food—this boy eats like it’s a competitive sport! A special slow-feeder bowl helps him pace himself, but he will never, ever, ever let you forget mealtime. What Makes Xerox Special? Xerox is the total package—sweet, playful, loving, and eager to please. He has overcome so much in a short time, and now he’s ready for a forever home that will continue to help him thrive. He’d love another dog to show him the ropes, but most importantly, he wants a family that will cuddle him, train him, and take him on fun adventures. If you’re looking for a loving, fun, and ridiculously adorable Velcro pup, Xerox is ready to copy your every move (and steal your heart). Apply to adopt him today!   Xerox would like to find a home with another dog. If there are children in the home they need to be over the age of 5.  January 29, 2025, 1:09 am

MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now is a big favorite with volunteers, who call her a "real sweetheart". She is a well-behaved girl, but is quite strong, and will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health. She dos have a small lump on her underside, but this has been vet-checked and determined to be a benign fatty tumor, not a source of potential trouble. Darla will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET CARTER! Carter is a 3- to 4-year-old male Doberman-German Shepherd mix (50/50 per DNA testing) who needs a foster or forever home! He looks more like a Dobie than a German Shepherd, and is sweet as they come! Carter was rescued from a scary California shelter, where he was kenneled with another dog and did great. He loves other dogs and is a joy with people, always having a smile to give. He still has some puppy energy, but calms down quickly. He's sweet and affectionate, and very intelligent. He would do best in a home with an active person, people or family with older kids. He would make an ideal family dog. He weighs about 68 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training in the Los Angeles area to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application.
