Story
Zorro is a handsome, 85 plus-pound, young Doberman (estimated DOB 12/22). He would love a home with an active family (older or no kids) who aren't gone for long periods. Ideal family would have breed experience, who are committed to continue his training, with a yard and a friendly dog buddy to play with. Zorro came to the rescue emaciated, malnourished, with parvo and a damaged eye which had to be removed. He has made an amazing recovery and has turned into a sweet, goofy, energetic boy who is learning how to be part of a family and a pack. Zorro is learning to walk politely on a power loop (halti style) leash. Despite his size he is a polite walking partner. That said he would need a good yard with a secure fence to romp in. And preferably a dog that is fun and playful as well as a good match for his size. He was curious about the cats in his foster home, but will chase if they run. He is doing well with not jumping up on people but small children would not be ideal. Zorro is excelling at working on basic training. He is smart and picking up things quickly. He is potty trained with a good, consistent schedule. He crates well. Zorro wish list 1. Yard with solid fencing. No apartments 2. Obedience training continued. 3. Active family. Daily walks and exercise 4. Another young well balanced playful dog 5. Experience with large powerful breeds preferred. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Choco is a beautiful Doberman. A very playful silly dog. Always wants to be doing something. Loves to run even though he has a birth defect on his left paw/hand and for that reason he limps when he walks/runs. That doesn't stop him from doing his thing. Choco is not aggressive at all, but it is protective. Loves to get hugs and just get attention from everyone. Unfortunately we are not able to keep him due to the cost of things for him and just cost of living in general. It has been a lot and we can't keep up. I just want to find a good home for him and know he will be taken care of like he deserves.

Story
*** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE OWNER AT: dayanaaxx@gmail.com*** Zoro is a 1 year old intact male Doberman/Australian Shepherd mix. His owner says the following about him: Zoro is a very hyper and anxious prone dog. He developed a snapping habit from a young age we have not been able to control. He will sit in front of you and snap in front of your face for no reason. He also tends to get extremely excited around you and will proceed to jump on you excessively, which can tend to be painful as he’s getting quite large.   We recently moved into an alleyway and he barks excessively at people walking by. He is beginning to lunge against the fence aggressively. It is difficult to contain him, as he beings pacing away from you instead. I want to make sure he goes to a great family that can keep up with his high energy. He’s a lovely dog with a goofy personality — however, can be overwhelming if not exercised enough. He’s very smart and can learn commands quickly, but can be a bit stubborn at times. He may separation anxiety, he will bark excessively if left alone for long periods of time in a different room (i.e caging while showering). Crate trained through the night or if gone for a few hours. *** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE OWNER AT: dayanaaxx@gmail.com***   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
