Story
*** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE OWNER AT: dayanaaxx@gmail.com*** Zoro is a 1 year old intact male Doberman/Australian Shepherd mix. His owner says the following about him: Zoro is a very hyper and anxious prone dog. He developed a snapping habit from a young age we have not been able to control. He will sit in front of you and snap in front of your face for no reason. He also tends to get extremely excited around you and will proceed to jump on you excessively, which can tend to be painful as he’s getting quite large.   We recently moved into an alleyway and he barks excessively at people walking by. He is beginning to lunge against the fence aggressively. It is difficult to contain him, as he beings pacing away from you instead. I want to make sure he goes to a great family that can keep up with his high energy. He’s a lovely dog with a goofy personality — however, can be overwhelming if not exercised enough. He’s very smart and can learn commands quickly, but can be a bit stubborn at times. He may separation anxiety, he will bark excessively if left alone for long periods of time in a different room (i.e caging while showering). Crate trained through the night or if gone for a few hours. *** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS ANIMAL IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE OWNER AT: dayanaaxx@gmail.com***   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
*** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS DOG IS NOT AT OUR SHELTER. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING THIS DOG, PLEASE REACH OUT TO: grantjwarren@me.com  ***   Goose is a fun sized blue dobie, weighing in at around 63lbs. She is highly intelligent and driven and is very eager to please- she knows her name as well as many commands, including but not limited to “sit”, “down”, “wait”, “shake”, “spin”, “guard”, and something that looks a little like “roll over”. She is crate trained and house broken. She loves her people and would love to cover you in kisses any chance she gets. There is nothing Goose won’t do for her favorite thing, a ball! She is very trainable, but could use a home that is willing to work with a trainer on her issues with separation anxiety, eating fun inedible mystery items, and some resource guarding of high-value toys. Though she has mellowed some in the 7 months her previous owners had her, she is still a bundle of energy and would do best in a home with a good sized backyard and/or a human that is willing to run or bike with her. She is a bit fearful of loud noises and really fast movements, and for this reason, she is not a big fan of kids under ~8 or really energetic children and would do best in a home without them. Her previous owners are dead set on finding her a good home and are happy to send her with her large collection of super durable toys, her Herm Sprenger prong collar, her leashes and harnesses, an XL crate, any remaining Hill’s Science Diet kibble, and her indestructible K9 Ballistics bed.   *** THIS IS A COURTESY POST, THIS DOG IS NOT AT OUR SHELTER. Story
Lumi recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine.  She wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2024/9/11/bean Small mixed breed pups - 4 girls and 2 boys available 1/4/25 for adoption! Mama is a sweet 12-15 lb small breed mix, dad unknown best guess 10-15 lbs full grown Rescued while mom was pregnant & 2 days later gave birth in foster care Lovingly hand raised in a foster home. See individual pics to meet each tiny taco! Beans (female) is the most petite of the litter! Currently in foster in a home in Davis, CA. $375 adoption donation includes spayed, rabies, dhpp, bordatella, flea tick treated, fecal tested/dewormed, and microchipped Ideal home will: Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours and need to be let out every 2-3 hours for potty. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs. Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training. Preference to homes w/ friendly & well-trained dog role models (preference, NOT required) Preference to homes w/ yards (preferred, NOT required) Why? Puppies cannot go in public until they are 4 month old and complete their puppy shot series. Having a yard during this time greatly helps with play, potty training, and providing an outlet for your puppy to get outside. There are ways to work around this if you do live in an apartment setting but it takes some extra work and planning! Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
