Story
Zorro is a handsome, 85 plus-pound, young Doberman (estimated DOB 12/22). He would love a home with an active family (older or no kids) who aren't gone for long periods. Ideal family would have breed experience, who are committed to continue his training, with a yard and a friendly dog buddy to play with. Zorro came to the rescue emaciated, malnourished, with parvo and a damaged eye which had to be removed. He has made an amazing recovery and has turned into a sweet, goofy, energetic boy who is learning how to be part of a family and a pack. Zorro is learning to walk politely on a power loop (halti style) leash. Despite his size he is a polite walking partner. That said he would need a good yard with a secure fence to romp in. And preferably a dog that is fun and playful as well as a good match for his size. He was curious about the cats in his foster home, but will chase if they run. He is doing well with not jumping up on people but small children would not be ideal. Zorro is excelling at working on basic training. He is smart and picking up things quickly. He is potty trained with a good, consistent schedule. He crates well. Zorro wish list 1. Yard with solid fencing. No apartments 2. Obedience training continued. 3. Active family. Daily walks and exercise 4. Another young well balanced playful dog 5. Experience with large powerful breeds preferred. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Meet Gracie, a young, spirited canine who`s always ready to play. Her energy is infectious, and she is always up for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. She`s also a bit of a goofball, often making her caregivers laugh with her antics. Gracie`s friendly nature shines through in her interactions with both humans and other dogs. She`s a quick learner, eager to please, and would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of exercise and playtime. Adopting Gracie means gaining a loyal, joyful companion who will undoubtedly bring happiness and laughter into your life. Gracie is still learning how to play gently and likes to jump up on her favorite people. Because of this, we are requiring that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. She may do well with other dogs in her new home after a slow introduction.Adoption Price: $250

Story
This is Raider. I need to find a loving and forever home for this guy. Hes about 1 year old and not fixed. Hes a purebred Doberman (not papered) hes extremely sweet and if he gets all his energy out for the day he a cuddle bug. He gets along great with our other male dog whos also not fixed. He gets along with our cat too but if she runs hell sometimes chase her. he wouldnt harm her though, he just thinks shes playing with him. Hes good with our 2 year old, although he can be kind of clumsy and knock him down at times. Hes extremely smart and learns very quickly but just needs someone who can give him time and train him. Ideally would love to find him a home with a yard he can run around in. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have! I just want to find him the best home possible, it breaks my heart but we live in an apartment and have a busy life so I feel bad I cant give him everything he needs. 😞 530 321 8426 pls txt me. no fee just needs forever/loving home

Story
Notes from Wallaby`s previous foster: She is good with `heel` command where we stop at street corners until released by command. She is great with all human interaction.Wallaby is great riding in the car and automatically lays down so she is stable and comfortable. Her separation anxiety has been present from the beginning and I have tried to desensitize it starting with brief periods of time behind a door or the window. She has made some progress and doesn`t immediately start destructively chewing things. I got her a Kong and stuff it with peanut butter to occupy her for a little while, however it only lasts so long... I think she can get better over time and with practice.Wallaby is not a fan of being in a crate at all, so she just sleeps on her bed on the floor of my bedroom.Wallaby has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  She`s a bit unsure and awkward in her play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll get more comfortable.  She can be reactive to other dogs when she`s on leash or through a barrier.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
