Story
Freya is an adorable and sweet Doberman Pincher. She was originally adopted from the shelter, but unfortunately didn’t get along with the other dog in the home. It is estimated that Freya is approximately 4 to 6 years old. Very little is known about Freya’s past, but while in foster care she has shown to be friendly, playful and curious - clearly, she had been someone’s pet. 2024 has been tough for Freya and she will need an adopter willing to give her patience and time. She walks well on a leash, is kennel trained, and house broken. Freya has shown she gets very excited meeting other animals, she has some herding/bird dog drive that makes her social skills intimidating to some dogs. But with proper introductions and some time she can live in a home with other pets and has become very good friends with the other dog in foster care. Freya is learning “leave it” and improving her recall. She does better with larger dogs than small dogs/cats. Freya weighs approximately 50 pounds and can be a finicky eater, but also LOVES a good treat and has to be reminded to sit. She loves to snuggle on the couch (and bed if you let her). Freya can be a little demanding of attention and has to be reminded patience. Freya's adoption fee of $200 includes a microchip, vaccinations, and spay surgery. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours. If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org. NOTE: Only Arizona based adoption inquiries will be considered. Anthem Pets Website: www.anthempets.org

Story
Hi! My name is Ruger, and I am a spunky, handsome, 4 year old, good doberboy looking for my furever family. I enjoy long walks on the beach, quiet nights at home with my family, a good meal, a warm bed and all the love I can get! If you are looking for a velcro Doberman, then look no further because this hunk of love likes to be right by your side. I am learning all about what it’s like to live in a nice warm (or cool in AZ) house. I enjoy the occasional bark at noises in the yard or things in the street, but it’s not excessive. I love to run in the yard and play with all of my toys. I especially love soccer balls! I am learning to be a good boy on a leash and love my weekly, medicated bath. I even jump in the bath tub all by myself. I will need someone who will be willing to continue my treatment for valley fever and give me a weekly bath (my fur was all gone but is slowly growing in). I like cats a little too much so I need to be in a cat free home. I need people who respect my space and I'm not sure I'd like tiny humans too much. I love my 12 year old human brother because he knows how to love me just the way I like it. I kind of like to be the boss of the other dogs so a slow intro is a must if I'm going to be around other dogs. I do get along well with my current doberbrother most of the time. I have been fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I know the perfect family is out there for me and I will patiently wait for you to find me. If you think I'm the one for you, please go to lovethemALLrescue.org/ruger to learn more and apply to adopt. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Delta’s story began in a neighborhood in El Paso, Texas, where the stray dog population was overwhelming, and sadly, some people were intentionally harming these vulnerable animals. When we heard about the heartbreaking loss of numerous dogs in the area, we knew we had to act. We hit the road to meet Delta and bring her to safety, and when we finally laid eyes on her, we couldn’t have been happier—or more relieved. Despite everything she’d endured, Delta greeted us with a wagging tail, a hint of playfulness, and a heart full of sweetness. This 7-month-old Doberman/Shepherd mix is a truly special soul. While she arrived a little shy, Delta’s silly and lovable personality began shining through quickly. Alongside her rescue friend, Dawn, Delta started a professional training program to help build her confidence, and she’s making incredible progress! Every day, she blossoms a little more, revealing her gentle spirit, loyalty, and joyful energy. Delta is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to thrive. If you’re interested in learning more about Delta, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications, and we’d be thrilled to set up a meet-and-greet. Delta can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Dawn’s story began in a neighborhood in El Paso, Texas, where the stray dog population was overwhelming, and sadly, some people were intentionally harming these vulnerable animals. When we heard about the heartbreaking loss of numerous dogs in the area, we knew we had to act. We hit the road to meet Dawn and bring her to safety. When we finally met Dawn, her timid eyes and cautious demeanor spoke volumes about the hardships she had faced. We gently loaded her and her companion, Delta, into the car, and set off on the long road back to Arizona, knowing we were giving her a second chance at life. This 7-month-old Doberman/Shepherd mix is shy and reserved, but beneath her hesitation is a heart full of hope. Since arriving, Dawn has begun professional training to help her build confidence and trust. While she’s taking things slowly, each moment of progress reveals more of her gentle spirit and quiet resilience. Dawn is looking for a loving, patient home where she can feel safe and grow at her own pace. If you have a soft spot for gentle souls and want to help Dawn blossom, please submit an adoption application through our website at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. We’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet and help Dawn find the forever family she truly deserves.
