You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on November 1st and arrive on November 2nd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 9/29/24 Dog Name: Rusty Sex: Male Breed: Dachshund/Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 2 years old Approximate Weight: 16 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Rusty was surrendered to a small rural kill shelter after being found as a stray. He is SO lovable and he is just wants to be with his people. He will be just a sweet little companion for anyone! He is great with everyone and has been around older kids. He just loves to cuddle and follow you around the house! We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 3, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this family of two part of your life and home please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Libby is a dachshund mix and is estimated to be just over 2 years old. She is a super sweet, loyal and initially shy girl who loves her humans and would be a great companion for somebody who likes to snuggle during naps as much as she does. Once she warms up to other dogs, she is a fan of hanging out and playing with them, but cats are unknown. She is house trained on a schedule but not a fan of being left alone. When she is left alone she likes to sing a song of great sadness which is not suitable for apartment living. She did not make the cut for American Idol this fall which lucky for you means she is available for adoption to be your lap dog. Libby also isn't a fan of children under the age of 5 with their quick movements, so a home with older or no children is recommended.
