Laverne is a friendly and sweet Doxie mix who is looking to be a loved member of a family. Due to her being blind, she can be a nervous at first in a new space but quickly acclimates, and is soon busy stealing the hearts of all the humans around her. Laverne is a fairly independent pup but loves to be near her people. She happily lives with a dog and cats in her foster home. Laverne can live in a home with kids, but would need a home with older kids that respected her lack of vision (she does not growl or snap, but quick movements make her a bit jumpy).
Despite being blind, Laverne is able to navigate well, even being able to use a few stairs to go out to potty. This poor pup has severe dental disease and Albert’s will be sponsoring her dental in December. This doesn’t stop Laverne from loving mealtime. This gentle gal loves to eat, nap in a cozy spot and loves to ride in the car. Her lack of vision doesn’t deter her from enjoying meeting new friends.
Laverne is a cozy pup. She loves butt scratches and an opportunity to nap. She has so much love to give and is so deserving of a fantastic home, could it be yours?
