Story
ChuyAnimal Profile: Chewy is an estimated 12-18 month old, ~15-20 lb chihuahua/dachshund mix (best guess) who was found as a stray in San Bernardino. He has been assessed to be friendly and social with people and dogs. He loves to run and play with people and is absolutely adorable; we are smitten! We will share more information as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Updates: Meet Chewy! He is your perfectly sized friend, just under 20 lbs and ready for all your cuddles and adventures! Chewy was pretty nervous when he first arrived with us, and needed a few days to acclimate and realize he was in safe hands. After a few days of decompressing, he was ready to show off his cuddly side and love for cozy dog beds. Chewy is a great companion in his foster home. He bonds quick with his people and loves to hangout by your side and accompany you on house tasks or keeping you company if you work from home. He has quickly earned the reputation as a "little shadow" for his foster mom. Chewy is still nervous in the outside world (goes into flight mode when confronted with loud noises or new spaced) and can be intimidated by other dogs or new people. He does best with a slow introduction when meeting someone new, and he is curious about other dogs but does best with a confident handler on the other end of the leash. Chewy is looking for an adopter who can advocate for him when out on leash, and can be the calm, confident presence he needs to get more comfortable in the outside world. Chewy is learning some great leash manners in his foster home and getting more comfortable day by day. Chewy would do best in an adult-only forever  home. He wouldn't mind being a solo dog, but would also benefit from another calm, confident dog in his pack.  Adoption Information: Adoption fee is $575 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, recent vet visit and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Ruffles was a stray intake in San Bernradino, rescued in collaboration with our rescue partner ARF, and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 3/2/25. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.September 19, 2025, 2:47 pm

Meet Maui! He’s the last of his litter still looking for a forever home—and he’s an absolute gem! Maui is about 3.5 months old and weighs just 11 pounds. He’s expected to stay under 30 pounds full grown, making him the perfect size for snuggles, adventures, and cozy couch naps. We’re not sure about his parents, but we’re guessing he’s a Dachshund/Terrier mix based on his looks and playful, loving nature. Maui is smart, curious, and full of puppy charm. He figured out how to use the ramp at his foster home on his very first try! Maui has been the perfect little house guest—he loves people and other dogs, enjoys learning new things, and is always up for playtime or cuddles. He would love a doggie friend in his forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky pup to grow up with, Maui’s your guy!

Story
Meet Mariette! Mariette may be a senior at 12 yrs young, but don’t let that fool you! This girl has plenty of pep in her step.💜. Since joining her foster home about 2 1/2 weeks ago, she’s settled in beautifully and even gained over 2lbs. Mariette is a natural born hunter who loves to chase the ball and explore the yard in search of lizards and frogs. When she’s not playing, Mariette enjoys snuggling into her cozy bed with lots of soft blankets. Mariette gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. She loves having furry friends to play with, but she’s also perfectly content relaxing by your side. Mariette has skin allergies, she received a Cytopoint injection and she’s feeling fantastic. No more itches! Mariette is full of love, energy and personality. She’s proof that age is just a number and she’s ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever home!

Meet Win! 🐶 This little guy is sweet as syrup — seriously, we’re obsessed! Win is around 2 years old (maybe even younger!) and weighs 12 pounds. He was found stray in the valley, but you’d never know it from his sunny personality. Win loves attention, cuddles, and being held — he’s the kind of pup who just melts into your arms and soaks up every bit of love. His gorgeous fawn dapple coat makes him stand out, but it’s his gentle, affectionate nature that really steals hearts. Whether he’s following you around with those soulful eyes or curling up in your lap, Win just wants to be near his people. ✨ Sweet, loving, and absolutely stunning — Win is ready to find his forever home! ✨
