Hi, I'm Slinky! I am an independent fella looking for an experienced, adult only home; older teenagers ok. Like a lot of pups, I'll need slow introductions to new people and other dogs, but once I'm comfortable, I can get really silly, sweet and cuddly. I do ok with cats as long as they can stand their own ground and I'd really like a buddy to pal around with so I don't get lonely when my humans are away. I like to stretch my legs with a sprint across the yard, so I'm hoping my forever home will have a spacious back yard that will allow me to get some exercise in on my own time. He is joining us from a shelter in Texas where he has been described as a nice boy who is quiet, loving, funny, and dog friendly. Hunter can't wait to find his forever home in here in Seattle. Coop is such a lovebug! His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle. He also loves going for walks, playing tug/fetch, on errands with you in the car, and getting all the treats. He can be reactive on a leash to big dogs and some people but he generally gets along with small dogs. He also isnt an excessive barker as long as you let him know you hear his alarms. Coop is potty trained, neutered, chipped, and learning basic obedience commands. The reason I need to rehome him is I live in an apartment and Coop does have separation anxiety where he will howl and bark the whole time you are gone. So, I have received neighbor complaints. He also tore up part of my carpet being afraid and trying to get out of my bedroom when alone. Coop is such a beautiful, fun, spunky, LOVING, snuggle companion. He needs a patient owner (preferably with a house/yard) who is always home and can help him work through his anxiety.

Glory, such a wonderful word. Giving honor, love and praise. My name is NOW Glory, and let me tell you... i had no name before I got to the rescue.... But NOW, I am GLORY and I am loved in the foster mom's home and pack. I have a really great friend too, his name is Leggo and he was from a rough family too. So we have kind of a kinship of despair, which has turned into LOVE and FOOD and WARMTH and HOPE! We didn't come into the rescue together but we are attached at the hip :) Please adopt us together!! She is very food motivated, very intelligent and learns quickly. She will do well in a home with another small dog for a playmate and does well with children 10 and older due to her size. Lucie Lu has lots of puppy energy and is full of curiousity. She would love to be your new puppy! If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.
