Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Welcome Bristol to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Bristol is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed dog. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a little under weight and her fosters will giving her good nutrition. She just had a litter of pups and we are posting them now. Bristol will be spayed soon and will be able to be the center of her family’s life soon. We could not be happier for Bristol. She is very sweet. She is learning the leash, doggie door, crate, car rides and working on potty training. The fosters believe she may have lived outside in her first home in life. She deserves to be a part of the family and get showered with love. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size. She is going to be loyal to her person and usually they pick one to be their person. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She isn’t too energetic and a small condo sized yard would be sufficient. If she goes to a colder climate she would need a good coat as she was cold today in Texas and it was only 70 degrees. She is good with cats and lives with a large dog. She is a wonderful mother dog and will make a wonderful family companion. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Animal Profile: Lemon is an adorable dachshund mix who is estimated to be around 1 year old and weighs 18lbs. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Bakersfield, CA. Foster Update: Meet Lemon! She is hard to miss with this adorable ears. Lemon is all love, and she is not afraid to let you know it. Lemon's foster mom describes her as follows: "Lemons is a velcro dog- she wants to be in your lap under a blanket and she wants to please her human; she is very quick to roll over on her back and submit to me. She is incredibly sweet, but doesn't know her own strength, which we are working on." Lemon is equal parts snuggle bug, equal part sidekick - she is ready to take on the world with her human! Lemon is being fostered with another dog and they get along well; Lemon often taking cues from the resident pup. However, Lemon does need clear leadership and boundaries to follow when living with another dog. Without a clear understanding of who is in charge, she feels she needs to be the one to protect her human, and she doesn't want that to be the case. Stay tuned as we continue to get to know Lemon! Mo is a six month old wire-haired dachshund/miniature schnauzer/terrier mix puppy who was found with another dog in Houston. Unfortunately, no microchip or owner was ever found. Mo is a loving, sweet boy who loves people, dogs, car adventures, and life overall. We are grateful the finder of Mo kept him safe from being hit by a car or run over...... This fun loving guy has blossomed over the past two months in his foster home. He is used to being held, loves affection, is kennel-trained, leash-trained, loves walks, and has mastered puppy pads wonderfully. Mo squats and does NOT lift his leg. We are now transitioning to going potty outside. Mo loves to help when his foster mom is planting her flowers. This boy loves Natural Pet collagen chews, and DuraForce dog toys. He is happy with his canine friends and is sure to bring joy to his new family. We look forward to his happy ever after SOON! Mo has been examined by our vet, and given three dhpp vaccines, rabies, bordetella, canine influenza, & leptospirosis vaccines. Mo DOES NOT have any heart murmur, luxating patellas, eye, skin, or allergy issues. He is given Simparica Trio on the first of every month for heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All vaccines are given by our outstanding vet & vet techs. We email all veterinary records prior to adoption. Mo is dewormed every two weeks. This precious pup is neutered & microchipped. We provide our rescued puppies and dogs with the highest quality veterinary care as our own pets receive. Proper veterinary care is our number one PRIORITY and it shows in the health of our rescued puppies and dogs. My adoption fee is $400 and transportation fee is $350 from Houston, Texas to Seattle, Washington. We use the highest standard transporter in the industry. We have many happy adopters on both West Coast, East Coast, and Canada. We are pleased to provide referrals upon request. Our greatest goal is to properly match a rescued pup with the perfect adopter. We have over twenty plus years experience in rescuing pets. It is truly our greatest joy.
