Story
Sweet little lady was rescued in Yakima from a hoarding situation where she was left with her dog mates to fend for themselves for over a week. She as just gotten spayed and is ready for a family of her own. She is super sweet. She is good with other dogs and loves getting belly scratches. She would do best in a home with a female but warms up to men with time. She would love to have another dog in the home to help show her the ropes. She loves to give kisses and does great in a crate. Not a barker!

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster south of Tumwater, WA NALA is approximately 2 yrs old…probably a Dachshund mix. She is quiet and calm. She likes to play with the other dogs. They run and play through my house like it’s a race track… you don’t even need TV to be entertained. Nala is curious about my 3 cats and on occasion will pester them, but they tell her to get lost and she does. She is a bit shy with strangers but warms up quickly. She is always wanting to lay at our feet when we are at the computer or the dining room table. She enjoys outside and goes out voluntarily. She is kenneled trained and paper trained. Nala has been in an apartment so she was not totally house trained. She would be a good companion dog for adults. She would probably be happy with a quiet child. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SHELBY is probably a Dachshund… mixed with a Terrier. DOB: 4/1/24. She currently weighs 20#s and we expect she may get up to 22-24# maximum. She is fun and very happy. She loves playing with the other dogs and leaves my cats alone. She loves to lick…her way of giving affection. She is almost house trained… working on it. She walks on the leash and stays quiet in the kennel. She loves playing with toys and her favorite is an empty water bottle that crackles and makes a lot of noise. She will be good for a family… with older children. I have not had her around very small children. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Story
Hi I am Venus! I am just a puppy, and some would say a “low rider”. That means I have short legs; I think that might have come from my dad. I am chocolate brown with a white patch on the chest and lovely green eyes. I am pretty independent and love to run. I like to play with my siblings, I am most often the last one to lay down for a nap there is just too much to do. I learn new things every day, and guess what, I already know how to swim, and I'm pretty good at it! Some things scare me a little bit, but I am curious to find out what it is. Loud noises don’t really bother me. I do react when the other big dogs bark, but I don’t run and hide or anything. I don’t live with kids or cats, but I think they would be ok if we got to know each other. Maybe we could play with toys together. I like the squeaky ones or sticks and ropes. I love to give kisses, snuggle and give ear nibbles. I am quite content to lay back and get a belly rub. I have been in the car, I don’t get sick or anything, but it can be scary, I probably need more practice. I love my food especially when we get some little extra yummy wet food, I know there is lots to go around so I don’t guard my food. We are still working on potty training; I think I still need more time to get the hang of it. If you are looking for a young pup that you can teach to be the best dog, then fill in the application and let's meet soon! Lots of love, Venus More About Venus: Crate trained for nighttime 3 meals a day still, Costco puppy food, chicken-based kibble with home made wet food or wet pouches She knows her name and will come when called Good in the car, just lays down Strong swimmer, likes the water This cutie will be attending our following adoption events: September 14, 2024 from 10 AM to 3 PM at PetSmart located at 719 Sleater Kinney Rd., SE, Lacey, WA 98503

Story
Meet Caleb! An adorable 2-year-old dachshund weighing 11 lbs. and super sweet!! He is looking for his forever home after being in foster care and learning that love is gentle, patient, understanding, and kind. Caleb's past life was unkind and little by little, the past is becoming a distant memory. He is playful, sweet, a loving boy who like every dachshund, is vocal, very treat motivated, doesn't like the cold/rain, and can de-squeak a toy in seconds!! He gets along with both women & men but does prefer females. He is almost potty trained but needs positive encouragement with guidance keeping in mind that any new changes will nonetheless bring accidents (his past trauma was potty related where he was scolded and learned to hold it for a very long time), is crate trained and walks fairly nicely on leash. Caleb is recovering from IVDD and therefore his home will have limited stairs, keep his weight ideal, no jumping, and fed a high-quality diet with a good joint supplement. Caleb enjoys canine companionship of similar size & age, gets along with dog savvy cats, and children who are older 12+ (he does not like quick movements). HIs best life includes: Single family residence with a fully fenced & secured yard (no exceptions) Works a hybrid schedule, part-time, early retired Breed specific knowledge and experience (he is not for first time dog guardians) Active Quality time exploring the outdoors Follows and practices positive force free training guidelines Lives in a peaceful, quiet, rural area (city life is not for Caleb) Caleb is fostered in Vancouver, WA Only serious inquiries and matches will be replied to. Applications can be completed by visiting our website: https://hearts4doxiesrescue.org/

Rocky’s my name and I’m a playful little guy. Still a puppy at 8 months, I am curious, funny, athletic and adventurous. I’m also a friendly, loyal and affectionate one. I love kisses and cuddling and am very gentle. I will need a fully fenced yard. Kids 8 years and older would be best for me. Can you be my forever home? (An adoption fee of $400 is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form. https://www.chewdogrescue.org/adopt If you have previously submitted an application form to CHEW, there is no need to reapply. Meet Tanner, a quirky and affectionate little guy. This 2 year old Chiweenie is very friendly and smart. He may be small but he’s athletic, brave and playful. He’s a curious fellow and is adventurous. Don’t mistake his outgoing personality and independence for any lack of doggy kisses and cuddling. He’s a real sweety! Are you his forever home?
