Story
Darling Darby is now almost 4 mo old and he’s ready for his own, forever home. He currently weighs about 9lbs and he should be approx 14lbs when he’s full grown. Darby is a very social, silly boy that will run up to everyone he meets and immediately rolls on his back for a belly rub. He is very gentle, too, so he’d be a great addition to a home with school age kids. Darby loves to play and wrestle with his siblings and he gets along great with his foster siblings so another playful, small dog in the home would be ideal, but it’s not required. He gets along great with the kitties, too. Darby is a little insecure while he’s learning to walk on a leash, but he’s a very smart boy that is figuring it out quickly. He loves to run around the yard and explore, and he’s not yet fully potty trained so a fenced yard would be best. Because he’s still too young to be neutered, his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption

Story
Let's find a home for miss Rowlett! This adorable 9 month old lady is still on the search for her forever family. Rowlett is spayed, up to date on her shots, house trained, and comfortable in a kennel. She does well on a leash, although she can be easily spooked, but she hasn't shown any leash reactivity. This little lady is fantastic with kids and women, but she does exhibit fear around men-truly a little feminist... Rowlett has nipped at 2 different men, highlighting her need for patience and understanding in overcoming this fear. In her ideal home, if there were a man, he would play a vital role in helping Rowlett feel secure and trusting. If you're ready to open your home, consider adopting Rowlett! #AdoptRowlett #ForeverHome #FeministPup

Story
Sweet little lady was rescued in Yakima from a hoarding situation where she was left with her dog mates to fend for themselves for over a week. She as just gotten spayed and is ready for a family of her own. She is super sweet. She is good with other dogs and loves getting belly scratches. She would do best in a home with a female but warms up to men with time. She would love to have another dog in the home to help show her the ropes. She loves to give kisses and does great in a crate. Not a barker!

Story
Meet Caleb! An adorable 2-year-old dachshund weighing 11 lbs. and super sweet!! He is looking for his forever home after being in foster care and learning that love is gentle, patient, understanding, and kind. Caleb's past life was unkind and little by little, the past is becoming a distant memory. He is playful, sweet, a loving boy who like every dachshund, is vocal, very treat motivated, doesn't like the cold/rain, and can de-squeak a toy in seconds!! He gets along with both women & men but does prefer females. Caleb is a work in progress with his potty training however he is completely pee pad trained (keeping in mind that a new change will nonetheless bring a few accidents). Through no fault of his own, Caleb will easily learn to go outside with your positive encouragement and guidance - his past trauma was potty related where he lived in car, was scolded and learned to hold it for a very long time). He is crate trained and walks fairly nicely on leash. Caleb has fully recovered from IVDD and therefore his home will have limited stairs, keep his weight ideal, no jumping, and fed a high-quality diet with a good joint supplement. Caleb enjoys canine companionship of similar size & age, gets along with dog savvy cats, and children who are older 12+ (he does not like quick movements). HIs best life includes: Single family residence with a fully fenced & secured yard (no exceptions) Works a hybrid schedule, part-time, early retired Breed specific knowledge and experience (he is not for first time dog guardians) Active Quality time exploring the outdoors Follows and practices positive force free training guidelines Lives in a peaceful, quiet, rural area (city life is not for Caleb) Caleb is fostered in Vancouver, WA Only serious inquiries and matches will be replied to. Applications can be completed by visiting our website: Hearts4Doxies Rescue.

Story
Meet SLINKY DOB 8/31/2018 Current weight: 12lbs Adoption fee $350 *(Adoption fee includes the neuter/spay surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Hi, I'm Slinky! I am an independent fella looking for an experienced, adult only home; older teenagers ok. Like a lot of pups, I'll need slow introductions to new people and other dogs, but once I'm comfortable, I can get really silly, sweet and cuddly. I do ok with cats as long as they can stand their own ground and I'd really like a buddy to pal around with so I don't get lonely when my humans are away. I like to stretch my legs with a sprint across the yard, so I'm hoping my forever home will have a spacious back yard that will allow me to get some exercise in on my own time. If not, walks are great too! My DOB is 8/31/18 and I am 12lbs. Please come and meet me soon! Our adoption process and application can be found at: https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process For other questions on our dogs/cats please send an email to info@sunnyskysshelter.org for information on a meet and greet as well as application procedures.

Story
Darling Kirby is now almost 4 mo old and he’s ready for his own, forever home. He currently weighs about 9lbs and he should be approx 14lbs when he’s full grown. Kirby is a gentle tempered boy that can be a bit insecure when he first meets new people. When he’s with a more confident little dog, he is quick to open up and become more trusting. So he must have another small, playful, confident dog in the home. Once he opens up, he is also a very silly, affectionate puppy. He would be a great addition to an easy going home with a couple school age kids. He gets along great with the kitties, too. He loves to run around the yard and explore, and he’s not yet fully potty trained so a fenced yard would be best. Because he’s still too young to be neutered, his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption
