Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello there, I'm Marcel, the smartest, funniest dog you'll ever meet. My previous owner had a stroke, and in all the confusion, I ended up at the shelter. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place, but it's no five-star hotel either. Once, I tried to make a break for it, using my superior intellect to pick the lock with a chewed up bone. It was going perfectly until I realized I was 'escaping' into the vet's office! Talk about a plot twist! I ended up with a lampshade on  my head and some missing family jewels.  Despite my hilarious mishaps, I'm a real sweetheart who loves to play and explore. When I first meet you I can be a little cautious, but once I know you I'm energetic and friendly, and I promise to keep you laughing. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a sense of humor, then I'm your guy! To adopt this dog, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org.  He was born around 01/11/2023 and weighs 22.5 pounds.  His adoption fee is $300.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
We are Flynn and Rider! Like thieves in the night we'll steal your heart. Flynn and Rider are absolutely gorgeous and active puppies looking for forever homes to finally call their own. Flynn is a bit more reserved than his brother but he still loves to go play. He'll come sit by your feet or even show you rocks he's found. He loves to snuggle and can be a bit quirky sometimes! Don't get Tangled in our cute-pie puppy eyes! Flynn's blazing a new trail of life, had Parvo and they were unsure if he was gonna make it. Now he's recovered and making the most of life! These pups have healthy appetites and will stop when full. Will graze later after activities. Their mom has short legs and longer body, pointy ears, narrow face. Might be corgi/dachshund mixes and be energetic little terrier dogs. They have cute, little, wobbly legs. Like to play, run, really good at getting them outside, commands to get them outside, go pee command. Eager to learn, observant, smart. Will need leash training most likely. Will walk on leash, don't pull, but are going through a chewing stage. Not a lot of experience with other dogs. Interested in playing with other dogs, look through door to see the other dogs. No experience with cats or children so please introduce them slowly. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPOR SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Ranger just joined our program and while we are not sure what breed he actually is, we have been told Dachshund Lab mix...Corgi Lab mix or possibly Corgi German Shepherd mix. The truth is, we just don't know however we do lean towards a Dachshund mix of some sort. What we do know is that he is so stinking adorable and was on his way to the shelter and we could not let that happen so....here he is! Apply to adopt Ranger at our website at www.txlabrescue.org

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to this cutie, Pumpkin! She is a 3-year-old, 25lb dachshund mix looking for her forever home as she was recently surrendered due to her owner no longer being able to care for her. Pumpkin is one outgoing girl! She loves to go on adventures and to explore with her person. She’s also very strong and is learning on how to not pull on the leash, but is just super excited to see as much of the world as she can! Pumpkin is a delightful girl, who loves to be with her people. Pumpkin is a velcro dog, always up for some kisses and cuddles. Under the covers, right beside you in bed, is definitely one of her favorite places to be. She has done well with other dogs, but can sometimes be vocal when excited to see them. She is not a fan of cats. She is potty trained and crate trained. She will need an adopter that will continue her basic obedience training, provide her structure, and give her a loving and nurturing home. Pumpkin would do best in a home that is further outside of the city, as she can be vocal when surrounded by a lot of activity. Pumpkin is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Sam! He is a 1-year-old, 21 lb dachshund mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is currently living in a foster home. In his foster mom’s words: “Sam is a squishy, squeezy, kissable, lovable loaf of sweet bread and an all-around good boy.” Sam is a very sweet and playful boy! He loves other dogs and will play all day long with other pups. We are looking for a home with an active family who can keep him entertained and socialized. Sam is very treat motivated and will do just about anything for a high value treat or toy. He can be a little shy at first, but he enjoys being with his people and would love to spend his days hanging out and exploring with you! He walks well on a leash, loves sleeping cuddled up with you all night, does fine in a crate while you are away, and is house trained, but is still working on feeling comfortable during car rides. He will need a securely fenced yard so that his curiosity doesn’t lead him on his own adventure. Sam is going to make a wonderful addition to any home that adopts him! Sam is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to this cutie, Solo! He is a 1-year-old, 32 lb dachshund/chihuahua mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! Solo is super sweet, friendly, and loves to socialize! Solo has a very loving and adventurous personality. He would love a forever home that takes him on daily walks and lets him explore as much of the world as possible!
