Meet Ted, a one year old Dachshund/Shepherd mix. Ted was born in his own`s home and that was all he knew until they became homeless and he was living out of the car with them. Understandably he is a bit nervous come to us and leaving all he knew behind but they couldn`t continue to care for him. Ted met another dog and has been hanging out in a staff member`s office, he seems to really perk up when he is around another dog. His owners describe him as a lap lover, being a bit shy at first but loving. He lived with men, women, dogs and cats and did well with all. Ted weighs in at 29 pounds and is a short, long boy. He just needs a bit of TLC to really come out of his shell. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT?That`s where you and the pet make sure you`re a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption. It`s a win-win for everyone!
