Meet Reba – Your Loyal, Loving Companion! Reba is a sweet and gentle dapple Dachshund mix who is overflowing with love and devotion. She adores her people and will always seek out affection, happiest when she’s by your side. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Naya! She is currently 14 weeks old, about 8 lbs, and we think she may be a Dachshund/ lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Naya’s video here: https://youtu.be/9dzYL8_mDjw?feature=shared Naya is playful and fun-loving, especially when she’s romping around with her sister, but she also adores the company of people. Naya will happily crawl into your lap for snuggles and sweet moments of affection. She’s had experience living with other dogs and would fit right in with a family that already has furry companions. But if you’re looking for a loyal new bestie, Naya is ready to be your one and only. This sweet girl is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly, and she’s ready to bring joy to her forever home! Naya is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Naya's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  ** Canela The Dachshund Mix**   Canela was abandoned and left to fend for herself. But now, she's looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. The clinic kept her and sent her to Rompin Paws Rescue, hoping to find Canela, a forever family who will love her unconditionally and keep her safe until the end of her days.   Canela is partially blind, and her eyes have blued. She has partial vision through the haze and gets along well. Due to her sight limitations, her new family must accompany her to the yard for potty training and playtime so she does not get hurt or taken by a predatory bird or wildlife.   Canela has a lovely disposition. She loves to be held, talked to, and cuddled. At the clinic, she lived with several small-breed dogs and did well with all of them. Canela would do very well with humans who work from home, are retired, and have a lot of time for her. She is also adaptable to different living situations and can thrive in an apartment or a house with a yard. Rompin Paws Rescue is seeking adopters who will give her enrichment activities so she is not bored and can stimulate her mind. She needs folks who will care for and love her unconditionally. Canela is a bundle of joy, ready to bring happiness to her forever family. She loves people, is friendly to animals, and is eager to give her heart to the right adopter. Her loving nature and friendly disposition will surely bring a smile to your face every day.   If you think you may be Canela's person, kindly visit our website and apply for adoption. Once we receive your application, we will review it and get back to you within 24 business hours. https://rompinpawsrescue.com.  Canela has a $395.00 adoption fee. She is current on her vaccines, spayed and microchipped.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 21, 2025, 8:12 pm

Story
If you like your dogs short on legs, long on body, big on love…Meet Flapjack, the shortstack best-boy! He is absolute perfection- polite, friendly, affectionate, playful, dog friendly and a gentleman with a cat. To truly understand the “short-stack” description you have to watch his video. https://youtu.be/Ml03N_vmRW0 We suspect he is a Basset Hound/Lab mix but everyone who meets him take a minute to soak in his form, and offer their observation. It's the way it is mis-matched so perfectly that adds to his impeccable charm. Estimated to be 1 y/o, he weighs 47 lbs and is full-grown. Given he is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age and as you can tell, breed is one that has us truly wondering, so please, if you adopt him and opt for a DNA test, please share the results. We love updates and DNA results on the head-scratchers are a favorite! Flapjack is a loving, people-oriented sweetheart who is ready to give you a little hug and maybe sneak a gentle kiss within a few moment of meeting you. Not in a pushy way though, his approach is gentle and so friendly. We were all impressed by how balanced his energy is, whether it was meeting new people or being introduced to new dogs- he is friendly, warm and polite, with a perfect touch of obvious joy. We introduced him to a handful of new dogs and he was consistently welcoming with great doggie manners. He shows his friendly, playful personality easily and gets excited when meeting a dog that is matching that playful energy. Naturally, not every dog is the playful, happy type, and although she will try to get them to change their mind, she also knows when to move on. We would describe him as moderately energetic—up for a play session or a nice walk, but just as happy snuggling on the couch with a toy. He has shown he can match medium-energy canine friends and will be a wonderful addition to any pack. His playful yet balanced energy makes him a great companion for someone looking for a dog who enjoys both fun, social-time just as much as downtime. Flapjack will enjoy walks and is easy to handle on leash, he passes dogs with a friendly acknowledgement and takes redirection/ correction easily. He is sensitive to correction, and tunes in easily which will help his leash skills polish up to perfect with ease. He may occasionally want to slow down to soak up the sites or meet a passer by but he is easy to keep moving when needed. Given he has some hound-like qualities we would say apartment living may not suit him. We haven’t heard much of it but the occasional bark or chattyish howl may not be as enjoyed by neighbors as we do. A home with a yard or a detached condo would be best. His energy and size means he will fit right in. From everything we have seen he would enjoy having another dog in the home to play with. If an only-dog, he would benefit from regular walks, enrichment, and occasional days at a doggie day-care for his dog-friendly playful side to be satisfied. If you have a cat, don’t worry there, when introduced to a cat he was respectful and calm. When allowed to sniff the cat he was friendly and very respectful not to be too pushy. We would consider him cat-tolerant and he will respond well to learning from his people and the cat what the boundaries are. With his cheerful, easy-going nature and love for people, he’s sure to be a fantastic companion for any family or individual looking for the unique charm this special boy brings. He is perfect and ready for adoption! Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/678acc895a23ec607607d7de Questions? Email kristen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
