Story
Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Bristol to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Bristol is a 1.5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed dog. She is a small girl at about 7 pounds. She is a little under weight and her fosters will giving her good nutrition. She just had a litter of pups and we are posting them now. Bristol will be spayed soon and will be able to be the center of her family’s life soon. We could not be happier for Bristol. She is very sweet. She is learning the leash, doggie door, crate, car rides and working on potty training. The fosters believe she may have lived outside in her first home in life. She deserves to be a part of the family and get showered with love. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size. She is going to be loyal to her person and usually they pick one to be their person. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She isn’t too energetic and a small condo sized yard would be sufficient. If she goes to a colder climate she would need a good coat as she was cold today in Texas and it was only 70 degrees. She is good with cats and lives with a large dog. She is a wonderful mother dog and will make a wonderful family companion. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200 if she is transported with the local transporter. Story
Coop is such a lovebug! His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle. He also loves going for walks, playing tug/fetch, on errands with you in the car, and getting all the treats. He can be reactive on a leash to big dogs and some people but he generally gets along with small dogs. He also isnt an excessive barker as long as you let him know you hear his alarms. Coop is potty trained, neutered, chipped, and learning basic obedience commands. The reason I need to rehome him is I live in an apartment and Coop does have separation anxiety where he will howl and bark the whole time you are gone. So, I have received neighbor complaints. He also tore up part of my carpet being afraid and trying to get out of my bedroom when alone. Coop is such a beautiful, fun, spunky, LOVING, snuggle companion. He needs a patient owner (preferably with a house/yard) who is always home and can help him work through his anxiety.

Story
Darling Darby is now almost 4 mo old and he’s ready for his own, forever home. He currently weighs about 9lbs and he should be approx 14lbs when he’s full grown. Darby is a very social, silly boy that will run up to everyone he meets and immediately rolls on his back for a belly rub. He is very gentle, too, so he’d be a great addition to a home with school age kids. Darby loves to play and wrestle with his siblings and he gets along great with his foster siblings so another playful, small dog in the home is required. He gets along great with the kitties, too. Darby is a little insecure while he’s learning to walk on a leash, but he’s a very smart boy that is figuring it out quickly. He loves to run around the yard and explore, and he’s not yet fully potty trained so a fenced yard would be best. Because he’s still too young to be neutered, his surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.  If you would like to meet this adorable little pup please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.December 11, 2024, 11:40 am
