Poppy, 2 year old Dachshund mix, 10 lbs. Super sweet, great with small dogs in her foster home. House broken, never crated. Secured stockade fence required, NO apartments,  NO out of state adoption. All available dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and given a broad spectrum dewormer . We require all pets already in the home are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Meet Miss Vanjie! She is around 5 years old and 25 lbs. We think she may be a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix based on that cute face and long body. Vanjie is house and kennel trained. She is also trained to use a doggy door! She is an overall sweet girl and enjoys people. She warms up more quickly to men than woman, but she just needs some time and patience to learn and trust. She hasn't spent much time around children but would likely do well in a home with kids that know how to respect their dog friends and their boundaries. This girl gets along great with other dogs and would do well in a home with dog friends. We're unsure about cats since she hasn't been exposed to them in her foster home. Once she is comfortable with new dog friends and people, she loves to play! She does best eating separately as she is prone to helping herself to other doggos' food. Despite being a lover of food, she isn't easily bribed by a treat. She has also done well in the car and at the vet. Vanjie is just a great girl who can be a little shy but has so much to offer a dog-loving family or person!
