Story
Hello world! Meet the sweetest hotdog in the world- Dot! Dot is an 8-year-old, 15lb, Miniature Dachshund who is more than ready for her second chance at life. Dot has been a ray of sunshine ever since she escaped her puppy mill past! She loves to learn new things and is eager to learn more! Dot is good with people, dogs, and cats. She is a great cuddler and loves sleeping on her foster parents’ laps. Dot can be a clingy girl, but she loves to be around people. Dot will follow her foster parents around the house until they can cuddle with her! Dot has made great progress housetraining, and with a regular schedule she could be potty trained in no time! She has had accidents in the house but is also doing well with puppy pads. Dot is crate-able, but she really prefers to not be in a crate, and she will let you know. Dot is a bit noisy in the crate, but when she is not crated, she is the calmest and quietest dog! Dot really likes to relax. Dot could stay in bed all day if you let her. She is currently working on becoming more playful and has made great progress! She seems to like chew toys, though she is still learning how to play with them. For now, she is content with chewing on a toy for a few seconds and then hoarding the toys in her bed. Dot is a little chunky and will require continued weight management. Due to her breed's predisposition to spinal/back issues, it is in Dot's best interest to shed a little weight. She is currently on weight management food, and while she still gets treats, she is limited on how many treats she is allowed. Dot is actually somewhat picky when it comes to treats but does love Acana Freeze-Dried Dog Treats. With the correct support, Dot's future is looking bright! She is a super sunny girl who is ready to find her family! If you want a smiley dog with a sweet new outlook on life, consider applying for Dot today! Dot is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Are you looking for 'the one'? Well then look no further! Meet Uni, the 5-year-old, 20-lb Dachshund currently searching for her forever family! Uni is a super sweet girl. She loves nothing more than to spend the day hanging out with her foster dog and cat siblings. She is a bit shy around people and will need some time to warm up to her new family, but once she is used to you, she guarantees she will love you forever. Uni likes humans but does prefer the company of dogs and will need to go to a home where she can find a new dog sibling to love on. The best of Uni's personality shines when she has a sibling! Uni loves a comfy bed, and is okay to relax all day, if that's cool with you. Uni is also a wannabe playful girl. She doesn't quite understand the concept of toys, but she loves the idea of them and is very eager to learn how to have fun. She seems to enjoy stuffed toys for now. Uni would also love the idea of running around in a fenced-in yard. She can be flighty, so she will need to be on a leash whenever there is no fence, but she just really loves to run around on the grass. Uni is crate trained, and she is working on leash training and potty training. Uni will need continued leash and potty training, but she is normally very good in both situations. Uni is by no means perfect at potty training, but she does respond well to pee pads and has never made a mess in her crate! As for leash training, Uni is just a free-spirit who prefers to not be tamed. She is okay on a leash, but it doesn't mean she'll go the way you want to go. Uni can be picky and is on weight loss food mixture. Due to her breed's disposition to back issues, and the risk of IVDD, it is essential that Uni lose a bit of weight, so continued weight management is ideal. Uni may be picky, but she is a connoisseur of treats. She is very easy to please with peanut butter, soft dog treats, and goodies that smell of salmon! If you are looking for a dog that is a good balance of relaxed and sweet, then look no further! Uni is ready to find her family and prove to them that she can be the 'bestest' dog ever! Uni is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet TEDDY GRAHAM, a purebred Laplander. As soon as you sit down this little nugget lands in your lap! Teddy Graham is one adorable doggie. He's a mixed breed guy, probably a chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua) type mix. He really is a little guy, tipping the scales at just 19 pounds but photos do make him look bigger. He's around 3 years old. Teddy Graham is a velcro dog who adores the elementary school-age kids in his foster home. He's a low/medium energy guy. Teddy Graham is perfectly content to be an only dog, he's only interested in people. He's housebroken and crate trained. Our most important requirement is that Teddy Graham MUST go to a home where he's permitted on the furniture with his people. If you'd like to meet Teddy Graham, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Teddy Graham at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
We are Flynn and Rider! Like thieves in the night we'll steal your heart. Flynn and Rider are absolutely gorgeous and active puppies looking for forever homes to call their own. Flynn is more reserved than Rider but he still loves to go play. He'll come sit by your feet and take in the world around him or he'll try to scamper up on your lap to show you rocks he's found. He loves being up high to get scratchies and watch his brother. Rider is the adventurer, he enjoys sniffing through the grass and pouncing grasshoppers. He likes to get the big dog toys to drag around the yard and have his brother chase him. Rider sits patiently waiting for his turn to get scratchies on your lap. He's so adorable! He's fearless until big trucks rumble by then you'll find him behind your chair! Don't get Tangled in our cute-pie puppy eyes! These pups have healthy appetites but will stop when full, graze later after activities. Their mom has short legs, longer body, pointy ears, narrow face, and a beautiful redish brindle coat. Might be corgi/dachshund mixes or be energetic little terrier dogs. They have cute little legs and look like they waddle from behind! Both like to play, run, and carry things around. They are really good at hustling from their room to door to go outside with "lets go, let's go, hurry, hurry, all the way to the door." Then once out the door "all the way to the gate... no pee pee in the walk way." Then "hurry hurry all the way back to go potty." They bound around in a scurry watching me for praise at their good efforts! Eager to learn, observant, smart. Will walk on leashes together but criss cross a bit so will need individual leash training. They are a little timid with new things in general so slow introductions would be helpful as they learn. They are young and going through a chewing stage so age appropriate chew toys a plus. Have experience with dogs their size. Very timid with big dogs. No experience with cats or children so please introduce them slowly. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Buu Buu is a 1-year-old, small mixed breed who is sweet as can be. He weighs approximately 25 pounds. Buu Buu didn’t get a real great start to life. He was rescued with his sister Molly from a very inhabitable environment and has been so scared but is starting to open up to being free. He is so sweet. He just follows you around like a little shadow. He loves to cuddle and be a part of whatever is going on. He’s good on a leash, good with other dogs (no cats) and is working on crate and potty training. He just wants his forever lap to lay in. Does yours have room? Apply at pawsomeanimalwelfare.com Adoption fee includes all up-to-date vaccines, neuter and microchip.
