Hi there, I’m Oscar! I wasn’t always in the best situation—when I was found, I was living in a landfill, covered in mats and surrounded by trash. The vet thinks I had been kept in a crate for a prolonged amount of time, they said that I was covered in urine which contributed to the mats. But don’t feel too bad for me, I’m a tough guy, and I’ve bounced back. The vet helped me get cleaned up, and I’m feeling much better now! I was named after Oscar the Grouch because, well, I was literally living in trash when they found me. But despite everything I’ve been through, I’m a sweet and loving guy who craves attention. I just want to feel loved, and I’m ready to show my new family just how affectionate I can be. I’ve done well with a couple of dogs here, but we’re still testing how I get along with others. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, so that’s still up in the air. I think I’d do best in a home without little kids since loud, fast movements can make me nervous sometimes. If you’re looking for a dog who’s been through a lot but is still full of love and ready to start fresh, I’m your guy! The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged but Lainey was able to keep her figure. They are both so so sweet and cute! They both Love cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Lainey was born on 9/10/2021 so she is 3 years old, Arlo is 4. This little pretty chocolate dappled girl is called Maizie and goodness what a cracker jack she is. Don’t for minute let those green eyes and chocolate marbled coat fool you to think she is gentle or easy. She is the CEO of dogs and will run the show at your house if given the chance. Maizie is 30 pounds and 9 months old. She is a breed mix of Dachshund and Basset Hound we are told. Her pics make her look big but she is a “tiny but mighty” little girl. Mazie is not a fan of any other female dogs in her life or around her. We don’t know where that came from but the dislike is there so we say…don’t ignore the warning. She is great with big male dogs, not good with other small dogs or cats, but loves people deeply and wants to be around them. She needs a fenced yard because she is a runner as most Dachshunds can be and she needs to be able to run and play and get her energy out daily. Older children would be better for her and she is crate trained, 90% housebroken and she adores going for walks; a very good girl on a leash we can say. She is beautiful but a “tad” bit complicated, which is why we have outlined the Likes and Dislikes of this girl to a TEE! Sam found himself homeless after his owner went to a nursing home. He is great with other dogs and good with people. We do not know what he thinks of cats. Sam is just an overall very chill boy.
