ADOPTED*** Toast – Female – DOB 3/13/2023 (1 year 8 months) Doug’s Sister - Black/Tan Dachshund chi mix ADOPTED*** Russell – Male – 13.8 lbs – DOB 5/18/2022 (2 years 6 months) – Black/Tan Dachshund chi mix Doug – Male – 10.1 lbs – DOB 3/13/2023 (1 year 8 months) – Brindle Dachshund/Chi mix ADOPTED*** Daisy – Puppy - Female – 5 lbs – Under 5 months of age - Brown Dachshund/Chi Mix About Dougie, the last available dachshund – He is a CUDDLER to the max and wants to be in your lap or laying next to you whenever he possibly can. He will be your shadow and follow you everywhere. Doug loves to give kisses and his biggest goal in life is to make his family/person happy. He is quite outgoing once he comes out of his shell (which doesn’t take long). His foster says if he could, he would be glued or handcuffed to you so you can always be next to you. He would be wonderful for somebody that is home more often than not and wants a very needy, cuddly small dog. Doug loves other dogs and would prefer a home with another dog or dogs in it, but it is not required. He can be a bit shy – if you come at him too quickly or scare him by picking him up too fast, he will/can pee a little bit. The foster calls it a “nervous pee-er” – Poor Dougie. While he has been raised with children, we believe a home that is a little more on the calm side is best. Doug is not very interested in toys but does occasionally when he is super excited get the zoomies and runs all over the place and acts like he’s a flying dog jumping on and off furniture in the middle of the zoomies. All 4 doggies have been raised in the same household but unfortunately the owners can no longer care for them properly (they have other doggies). They have been very loved and cared for their whole lives. They are all mostly house trained and they’re all very happy, well-socialized dogs. They have been raised with children and would do wonderful with them. As you can see in the video the fosters young daughter is laying on the floor and all 4 come running to lick her all over. These 4 have been raised with other dogs and cats and have no issues with either! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org

Story
Little lady Sadie is ready for her forever home after being rescued from a Louisiana hoarder house. We were told she is 2 years but think more like 4-5, 10 pounds.  Sadie is shy at first, needs time to feel comfortable; then a devoted best friend, who loves lap time, being close. She gets along with the other dogs, plays a little, cuddles; can be jealous of lap time with just a tiny growl. She also enjoys yard time. Sadie would love an owner who'd spend lots of time with her. She's a great best friend! Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $375. www.longdogsrescue.org/application

Story
Youngster ElleMae is looking for her forever home at 1 year, 13 pounds! She's a mostly red piebald beauty like her mama (15 lbs.), who was a breeder release to rescue. Elle is shy with strangers, barks at new dogs. She does warm up quickly.  Elle 'is quite an energetic girl, who plays most of every day. She loves the other dogs in her foster home, must have a small, energetic, playful doggie friend close to her size in her forever home -- perhaps her foster buddy Noah -- and a fenced yard. ElleMae enjoys lap time, cuddling close, being with her people. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $550.  www.longdogsrescue.org/application

Story
Uniquely adorable doxie (with likely a touch of rat terrier) Saucier would love to find her forever home. She's timid/scared meeting new people, needs time to feel safe, comfortable; then is a sweetie, loves her belly rubbed, being held, lots of lap time. 3 years, 10 pounds, she's a daddy's girl in her foster home, likes her foster mom too. She'd do best with a securely fenced yard for her initial shyness. If you'd like to make Saucier feel special, so loved, apply to adopt at www.longdogsrescue.org/application. Adoption fee $375. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA.

Story
A darling duo for sure, Karla Ku and Katy Ku would like a forever home together with humans who have lots of love and a little patience! Karla, 9 months, 6 pounds; Katy, 4 years, 10 pounds, were breeder releases to rescue. Both are shy at first, wary of strangers. Neither has any aggression. Both are extremely sweet, gentle. Karla is very much a pup, who loves to play. She is spunky, funny in the pack. Most of her left front paw is missing, chewed by her mother from the anxiety caused by being a breeding mama. Karla is a tiny girl, who has adapted well, does everything all dogs with 4 paws do. Katy is a love, more timid, scared of new people, places. Once she trusts, she's very affectionate, wants to be close to her person. She likes to explore in the yard, run with Karla and do lots of cuddling. Both are learning about potty habits, will need to continue. Neither walks on a leash yet; require a securely fenced yard. If you have the time for 2 precious doxie girls, these are special indeed. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $850 pair. www.longdogsrescue.org/application ;

Story
Candy is as sweet as her name, also smart, spunky and a devoted companion!  She enjoys meeting people. Ok with dogs but prefers her person. A chocolate/tan dachshund, 11 years, 12 pounds, she has major doxie personality for sure. Candy came to a Louisiana shelter as a stray,  quite thin with coat/skin issues; lost all of her teeth but 2 to dental disease. The 2 she has left are good. She's adorable with her tongue hanging out, eats very well.  Candy tested HW positive, is being treated slowly because of her age. Her bloodwork results are good. The further treatment is simple and inexpensive.  Candy is a delight and a wonderful best friend. She'd love to have a mama's to hang out with a lot. Candy knows it will take a very special person to open their heart to her, wants everyone to know it will be worth it♡ Fostered near Philadelphia, PA.
