He loves treats and will make faces to convince you to give him more. He's a smart little guy and settles in pretty quickly to new situations. He'll explore but come back to check in every couple of minutes. He was raised with another dog so he can be part of a household with other canines. My foster mom says I’m a social butterfly and will make someone a perfect companion. I don’t mean to brag, but not only am I cuddly, but I’m also beautiful! I have a sweet expression, and a soft heart. I might be just a little morsel of sugary sweetness, but I have a huge personality! When I’m not seeking out attention from my people, I am rough-housing with my siblings. I’m not pushy, but I’m also not a push-over! Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200.
