The owner of Arlo, Lainey and 4 other akc registered doxies was living in a rental home with 4 children and the landlord said the dogs had to go. Her mom took them while she was supposed to find another place to live but that did not happen. Her mom had 3 dogs of her own and was overwhelmed so she asked for help. All the dogs are sweet but we took Arlo and Lainey. These two are quite bonded so we are going to try to place them together. They are both spay/neutered, UTD on vaccines and HW negative, They will also be microchipped. In their original home, they were left on a self feeder and I am afraid Arlo overindulged. He needs a home where they will go for walks and watch their diets. but he is so so sweet and cute! Loves cuddles and kisses! They both seem to be reliably housetrained. Arlo is a red pie bald and Lainey is a black and tan wirehaired doxie. Arlo was born on 8/13/2020 so he is 4 years old, Lainey is 3. Hi, I’m sweet Reesie and although I look a little scared in my pictures, I’m pretty outgoing. I can be a little hesitant in new situations and I’ll pancake to the ground. As soon as I get comfortable, which doesn’t take long, I am wagging and running and giving lots of kisses in no time. I love life and am so happy to be in Minnesota. I currently live with one of my friends in an xpen and we love to run and play, then we cuddle up in a cozy dog bed and nap. I’m such a sweetie and I can’t wait to find my forever family! Reesie is estimated to be 3 months old and 14 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Welcome Daisey to CCPAL foster program. She is an 8-year-old Dachshund/Corgi is our best guess. She has a longer body and upright ears. She is a scenting breed for sure. She is active and social and not the couch potato dog. She weighs 25 pounds. She is good with a dog smaller and a dog larger. The larger dog is a pit Bull and she does good with that more dominant dog as well. She is around children and is a great dog for a family with kiddos. She has a 5 year old and a baby in her home. This family has found they have to move into a rental house. The rental house will only allow 2 dogs. They are sad but there is no other option. Pit Bulls are tougher to rehome so she is rehoming her favorite dog. She was crying telling this story. Daisey is potty trained, good on a leash, good in a car, good with other dogs, kids and strangers. She will need a fenced yard or walked on a leash. She can catch a scent and wonder off. She has a nice sturdy body and will make a great companion for an active family or active senior. She can be an only dog or go with another dog. This dog has a lot of good years in front of her and is by no means an old acting dog. She is in good health, vaccinated, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is a shedding dog but only moderately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to help get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. They guessed I am a Dachshund/ Spaniel mix who is about 2 1/2 years old when I was found as a stray. I’m still very much a puppy at heart, sweet and very mischievous! I’m still learning the ropes of living in a house and have made great strides. I wear a belly band at night, but during the day don’t need one! I live with large and small dogs in my foster home and really want to play all day long! There are cats in my foster home as well and they are so fun! I do like to play and chase them so if your cat doesn’t play like a dog your house might not be the best fit for me. I go in the crate occasionally when my foster mom goes to work. I don’t like it in there and will let everyone know for a few minutes before settling down. I would love to live with another dog who also likes to play, but that’s not required if my humans will play with me. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Ryder is a sweet boy that we rescued about two years ago. He is perfect with people who give him his space until he trusts them. The issue is that he is very aggressive toward strainers and people that try to approach him other than our household members and a hand full of others. He will bite if he feels threatened, he has become a liability for our family due to the fact that in two years of training he still occasionally becomes aggressive out of the blue and will bite people. He is small so bites have caused minimal damage but we have children and their friends and our friends are have been bitten in some rare instances. He really is sweet and needs a companion to devote a lot of time. He is very attached to me but does not like any other men. He could be a great companion for an individual that lives alone and has a lot of time for snuggling and playing.

We rescued 17 dachshund and chiweenies in August. They had not been socialized, their owner died in the house. We are slowly working with these babies and the ones we feel are ready, we get fixed and find them homes. These babies will need a patient family who will work with getting them comfortable in a new house. They may be flight risks so will need to be monitored all the time. Some have been adopted already and have done well. They are not used to being petted, picked up or touched.They are not used to kids so slow introductions will be needed but we don’t see them not liking kids. They are such brave little ones that we are determined they will all eventually get new homes. Ranger is the tallest of the group, not sure what gene is in there! He likes to walk his ‘perimeter’ and bark at anyone who comes near. He likes to play although they aren’t sure how to. He has the little dog energy and would be great with any family. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you though Rescue Riders.

When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away!
