Story
Name: Jelly Age: 8 years old Gender: male Breed: Dachshund / French Bulldog/ Chihuahua  mix Weight: 14 lbs Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: Testing available upon request Child friendly: yes, older gentle children, please House trained: yes, on a schedule Crate trained: yes Energy level: Moderate Temperament: sweet, snuggly, docile, easygoing Adoption Fee: $300+tax To adopt, go to:   www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html   From the Foster Family: Jelly came to us from Alabama on transport. His mama was very sick and could no longer take care of him. He is a joy to have in the home. We have had to work with him on a schedule to relearn his potty skills. He is doing very well. He loves to snuggle and sleeps right next to me in the bed at night. He isn't fond of the crate so we don't use it unless we have to. He would do wonderfully with an adult couple or single person in their senior years. He does well on a leash. About Me: Hi future family! I need some loving and lots of snuggles. I am no bother. I am calm and very friendly. I love a soft toy to carry around. If I can't find one, then my foster mom's slipper fits the bill and I just like something soft by my side.  I do well on car rides and love to go visiting my foster moms' 4 grand dogs. I live now with 3 dogs, a Bull dog/Boxer, a Chihuahua, and a Teacup Chihuahua and I love them all!  If you want to hear more or have any questions, please fill out an application and my foster mom will be in touch to talk with you.   March 5, 2025, 7:59 pm

Story
My name is Jason aka Noah, as in the father of all mankind:) I have been through alot in my life, I started out in a horrible hoarding situation with my sisters, brothers, uncles and mother. I knew in my heart of hearts that there is a much better world out there. And there is!! I was saved with about 88 dogs and pups, the ladies who drive out to save all of us are absolute saints.... So, back to my origin story, I had an unbelievable hernia out my back end that made my life hell...so the ladies git me to the rescue and 3 SURGERIES later, I am living a normal life 😀 I am a sweet boy, but having come from the situation i did, i am not a cuddle bug. I will hang out with you, just next to your chair. My life has come full circle and I am finally ready to find thst forever home who will love me until the end of time. I am waiting!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Squirt and Squish are two charming Dachshund brothers who bring double the love and personality. While they aren’t technically a bonded pair, these boys have been together their entire lives, and Underdog would love to see them find a forever home together.   Squirt   is a blind adventurer who doesn’t let his lack of sight slow him down one bit. This resilient pup has mastered the art of communicating with his humans. Need something? Squirt will let you know. Got it wrong? He’ll let you know that, too! He’s full of spirit and determination, proving every day that life is for living, no matter what.   Squish  , on the other hand, is your classic playful Dachshund with an adorable attitude to match. He loves to play, explore, and charm everyone he meets with his spunky personality. He’s a little comedian with a tail wag that never quits!   Together, these boys enjoy the finer things in life: playing, snuggling, eating dinner, and perfecting the art of being lazy. They balance each other out beautifully—Squirt’s tenacity and Squish’s playful spirit make them the perfect pair to brighten your days.   If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this delightful duo, you’ll be rewarded with endless love, laughter, and snuggles. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
Meet Poppy!Poppy is a 1.5-year-old, 17.5-pound Dachshund mix with a big personality packed into her small frame. She’s super fun, playful, and absolutely loving—a real joy to have around!Poppy gets along wonderfully with people, kids, and other dogs, making her a great fit for an active and social family. However, she’s not a fan of cats and will bark and chase them, so she’d do best in a cat-free home. Her sweet nature and playful energy make Poppy the perfect companion for outdoor adventures or cozy nights in. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and fun-loving pup, Poppy is ready to bring endless joy to your life!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 3, 2025, 10:44 pm
