Story
Sunshine is a 2-year-old low-rider (we’re guessing dachshund/retriever mix!) who didn’t have the easiest start to life, but you’d never know it. She’s full of love and gives it freely to everyone she meets. She came to us pretty underweight (and with puppies), so she’s very food motivated (a slow feeder is a must), but who could blame her? She’s steadily gaining weight and will likely be around 30 lbs once she’s healthy. Sunshine, aka Sunny, Little Miss, or Sunny Bunny, is all about love. She’d do best in a home with a female presence, and she tends to gravitate toward women but warms up to men quickly. She does great with other dogs, but would also be perfectly happy as the only apple of your eye. Sunny is house-trained on a consistent schedule and would thrive in a home that balances activity with plenty of snuggles. She’s mastered the puppy dog eyes, so good luck saying no, but this lovebug deserves to be a little spoiled. She’s a smart girl and would benefit from some continued training, especially on walks and taking treats gently. Her adoption fee is $250.  ##2698461##

Meet Glitter Intelligent, affectionate, adorable, and eager to please! I can be a little sensitive to touch from people I don't know very well. I like to take things slow and really get to know you before we get touchy-feely. When we are better friends, I love to snuggle up for some belly rubs and cuddles! I am looking for someone that has experience with food and resource guarding. Some of the MAS staff and volunteers have been helping me practice self control with positive reinforcement training. I am very motivated by food, so training is like a fun game for me! I need consistent structure to help me control myself. I have been making leaps and bounds of progress with my training and protocols and I am eager to please, I know several commands and release cues such as "come", "down", "bed", "sit", "look", "lets go", "yes", and "ok". Glitter is such a joy to get to know. She has such a sweet and silly personality, it's nearly impossible to not love her, she is like a little molasses cookie! Growing a bond with any dog, is special; but especially a dog you know has been through a lot. There is such a rewarding feeling, knowing for this dog, you made a difference. Glitter deserves a safe loving home to get a second chance to experience what a family is. Please note that Glitter has a special meet-and-greet protocol that requires several visits, so she and her potential adopters can get to know each other before Glitter goes home. Meet Lexi, a 2 year old sweet and adorable Doxie/Chi/Beagle mix. She is just a peanut, weighing only 10 pounds. Lexi is a very well behaved girl - she is crate trained, potty trained, and gets along with all the dog and cat friends she has encountered. And she just loves her walks! She will need a securely fenced back yard, as that beagle nose of hers keeps her going. Lexi is happiest just snuggling on your lap, coming in second place, would be her walks! She had a rough start in her young life, and now deserves the best forever home ever! She is truly the sweetest, best girl ever! Lexi has been spayed and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Our newest foster is Sparky. A one year 7 month old, 13 lb., dachshund mix. In great health and with his rabies and vaccines up-to-date. He is Neutered and tested for Anaplasma, Erichilia, Lyme and HW disease. He is started on HW preventative and Flea and Tick control. He has a Home Again microchip with a prepaid lifetime registration and 30 days of free Pet Insurance. He is is great around babies, children, older and younger dogs and cats.
