Jake, Is a very happy dog. He gets excited when he sees you. Once he smells you and gets used to you, he's very lovable. He wants attention he wants to go for walks. I think he will be good with kids. I didn't have many kids around him. Hes about 10 years old. He loves his snacks and treats. He has his favorite blankets and chew toys. Jake has away of talking to you and responding with his looks and head movements. And he's an excellent protector. He's house trained and lovable. I will also give his dog house and items. Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 November 9, 2024, 11:51 pm

Story
Hello, my name is: Maximus PrimeDOB: 07/01/2022Sex/Breed: Neutered male Dachshund/Schnauzer mixWeight: 17 lbsFriends: Adults, older kids, smaller dogsTraits: Athletic, confident, adoring, happyRescued From: Found strayMaximus Prime has a big name for such a little guy, but his personality called for something substantial! He is full of personality and character, keeping his foster family on their toes and entertained every day. He is smart, affectionate, and full of fun! Max loves hanging out with his doggy pals, especially those his size. He bonds strongly with his pack. He’ll need a home without cats because he finds it too much fun to chase them. Max loves a good belly rub after a lively romp outside. He’ll chase a ball all day if you let him, but also knows how to relax. Because of his energy level, Max would benefit from having a fenced in yard to run zoomies in. He isn’t large, so he doesn’t need a ton of space to stretch his little legs. He seems house- and crate-trained, enjoys learning new things, and catches on quickly. Maximus Prime will be your loyal companion and thrive with a family as dedicated to him as he is to them. Please help us find this special boy the forever home he’s been dreaming of!All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Hello, my name is: ShyenneDOB: 11/5/2021Sex/Breed: Female Dachshund mixWeight: 8 lbsFriends: Adults, older kids, dogs (cats unknown)Traits: Shy, gentle, resilientRescued From: AbandonedShyenne and her sister, Shyloh, are survivors of a hoarding case. They lived with 50 other dogs in a tiny home filled with garbage, furniture, and filth nearly stacked to the ceiling. These girls were very under socialized and shellshocked when they arrived in their foster home, but with kindness and patience they have started to relax and trust. They get along really well together, but are not reliant on one another. We feel they could be placed in a home together or in separate homes with other dogs. Having a confident, easy-going resident dog would be very helpful with their transition from throw aways to cherished pets. From the beginning they have been fine though a little worrisome about being picked up and handled. As time has gone on, they have learned to trust more and more. They are still working on their training, and would do best with a secure outside area to roam while supervised. These girls will need a patient family and a home that is quiet and calm to feel safe. Learning to trust and confidence-boosting are the most important things to focus on with these girls. In time, we have no doubt Shyloh and Shyenne will flourish and become loving members of their forever families… all they need is a chance. All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
