🐾 Meet Snoopy & Koda 🐾 💛 Looking for Their Forever Home 💛 A couple of months ago, we were made aware of two dogs in urgent need of rehoming. At first, we were not sure we had the capacity to help—but after meeting them, it was clear they needed immediate care, safety, and a second chance. With the help of an incredibly compassionate foster mom and a generous donor, Snoopy and Koda received full veterinary care and have been learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a home. ✨ Now they’re ready for their forever family! ✨ 🐶 Koda
Koda is an approximately 2-year-old female pug—and she is everything you love about pugs. She’s petite, playful, and incredibly sweet. She comes with:
• A tiny tongue that peeks out when she sleeps
• The cutest little “vampire” underbite
• A squishy muffin head that’s impossible not to kiss She’s full of personality and love, and she will absolutely steal your heart. 🐶 Snoopy
Snoopy is an approximately 5-year-old dachshund mix—affectionately described as a “little land seal” 🖤 • Short, chunky legs
• Big soulful eyes
• Much smaller than he appears in photos Don’t let his pictures fool you—he’s actually very petite and loves being close to his people. 💛 Their Personalities
• Both dogs are incredibly sweet and affectionate
• Great with people and children
• House-trained and adjusting well to home life
• Learning how to play, relax, and just be dogs 🚫Snoopy is believed to not be suitable for homes with other pets aside from his friend Koda. Koda is believed to be good with cats and other dogs. Both dogs have been evaluated by a professional trainer. 🏡 Adoption Details:
Ideally, we would love for Snoopy and Koda to be adopted together—they share a strong bond and came from the same situation. However, we understand that may not be realistic, and we are open to applications for one or both. Both Snoopy and Koda are up to date on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered/microchipped. We are committed to finding the absolute best homes for them. 📋 Adoption Requirements • Completed application • Personal and veterinary references • Proof of home ownership or landlord approval (verbal & written) • Meet and greet/Home visit 📩 Interested in adopting? Please email: sdbpctrescue@gmail.com An application will be sent to you.

Story
Sonnie is the charming, independent gentleman of this bonded senior dachshund duo. At 13 pounds, he’s all personality, confident, friendly, and endlessly lovable. He enjoys affection on his own terms and is happiest lounging on soft pillows beside his beloved Roxie, often with calm music playing in the background. Sonnie is social and friendly with other dogs and seems to want to be everyone’s friend. He knows his name and responds well to commands like stay and come. When it’s time to go outside, Sonnie makes his needs very clear, he whines softly and heads straight to the door. Snow doesn’t bother him much, and he’ll proudly do his business even in the deepest drifts before deciding it’s time to go back inside. He’s a protective little guy too, when there’s a loud noise, Sonnie instinctively positions himself in front of Roxie. At bedtime, he happily goes into his crate (when Roxie goes first). Sonnie wears a belly band indoors due to marking behavior and does best with consistent routines. He also has a sensitive stomach, so maintaining the right diet is important for him. Donnie and Roxie are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They rely on each other for comfort and security and thrive as a team. In the right home, one that understands senior dogs and appreciates their gentle routines, they will make deeply loyal, loving companions. If Interested in this island duo, please submit an application under either of their profiles. ##2604216##

Story
Roxie is the sweet, affectionate half of a bonded senior dachshund pair. At just 10 pounds, she’s a true lap dog who loves cuddles and being close to her people. She’s a quiet girl who rarely barks, but when she does, her surprisingly big voice makes her an excellent little watchdog! Originally from St. Thomas, Roxie prefers warmth over cold and snow. She has claimed the back of the sofa by a sunny window as her favorite spot for naps when she’s not seeking pets or reminding you it’s mealtime. She enjoys neighborhood walks, has made doggy friends along the way, and will politely let you know when she’s ready to head home. Roxie knows her name and listens well to commands like stay and wait. She and her companion Sonnie are crated at night and settle in easily, often heading straight to the crate on their own when they’re tired. She communicates her needs clearly; when she has to go outside, she’ll pace and make soft grunting sounds. Once you learn her signals, she does very well. Most importantly, Roxie is deeply bonded to Sonnie and is rarely far from his side. She waits for him, looks for him, and feels most secure when they’re together. Rosie and Sonnie must've adopted together. If interested please fill out an application under either of their profiles. ##2604212##

She’s doing amazing and making great progress on her journey to find her forever home.   **Chewing Improvement**: We’re still working on the chewing, but she’s adjusting well to her chew toys. **Potty Progress**: Nelly is going in and out to potty regularly, though she sometimes uses a puppy pad if she can't wait. **Yard Adventures**: While she’s still a bit hesitant to come back inside from the yard, she’s getting much better at going out by us! **Growing Affection**: Nelly has started to play more and loves coming up for cuddles when we’re sitting down. She’s a little nervous when we stand, but her curiosity is growing, and she’s starting to explore what we’re up to instead of just scurrying away. **Response to Name**: She’s also beginning to respond well to her name, which is such a wonderful sign! **Excited Greetings**: Nelly is now the first to greet us at the door with tail wags and excitement when we come home—it's the best welcome ever! **Couch Snuggles**: She’s getting big on couch snuggles too!   Nelly is a sweet girl with so much love to give, and I know the perfect family is out there waiting for her. Story
Alfred Bio Please ensure you understand and can meet the needs of this dog before applying. Energy level: medium Potty training: fully trained Fenced yard: preferred but not required Shared walls: suitable People: all Dogs: all Other: grain allergy and GI issues    Overview Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Alfred certainly hasn't gotten the memo. This fluffy white 11-year-old mix is every bit as playful and snuggly as a puppy—just with a lifetime of good manners already built in. At 17.2 lbs of soft, white fluff, Alfred is an owner surrender who came to Little Paws through no fault of his own. What he lacks in backstory drama he makes up for in sheer charm: he loves cuddles, he loves play, and he is endlessly patient and gentle with everyone around him.   Environment Alfred is a wonderfully easygoing housemate. He's fully potty trained, so no accidents to worry about. He uses a pen rather than a traditional crate, and he is genuinely content to entertain himself—he's very happy left to his own devices for longer stretches, making him a great fit for working households. He enjoys short walks and playtime to keep that puppy spirit alive, but he's not demanding about it. A yard would be a nice bonus, but it's not a must. He travels happily in the car and loves watching the world go by from his window seat—a tall car seat works great for him!   Pets & People Alfred is a social butterfly who has been perfectly content living alongside three other dogs in his foster home. He's gentle and easy with everyone he meets—people included. He loves to lick his doggy housemates' ears. Whether they asked for a grooming session or not. He is patient and well-mannered around food, waiting calmly when asked. He's the kind of dog who makes you look like a great trainer without even trying.   Health & Special Needs Alfred has a grain allergy and some GI sensitivities that his foster is actively managing. This simply means he'll need a grain-free diet going forward—something his new family will want to continue. His foster can share more details about what's been working well for him.   Location Alfred is available for adoption from Raleigh, NC. Please email kellinashawaty@gmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Alfred is $250.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 20, 2026, 6:46 pm
