My name is Jason aka Noah, as in the father of all mankind:) I have been through alot in my life, I started out in a horrible hoarding situation with my sisters, brothers, uncles and mother. I knew in my heart of hearts that there is a much better world out there. And there is!! I was saved with about 88 dogs and pups, the ladies who drive out to save all of us are absolute saints.... So, back to my origin story, I had an unbelievable hernia out my back end that made my life hell...so the ladies git me to the rescue and 3 SURGERIES later, I am living a normal life 😀 I am a sweet boy, but having come from the situation i did, i am not a cuddle bug. I will hang out with you, just next to your chair. My life has come full circle and I am finally ready to find thst forever home who will love me until the end of time. I am waiting!!! Story
FosterPenny is a sweet and gentle lady. She is a ten year old, 15 pound dachshund mix. She came to Charming Pet Rescue after her human passed away. She arrived at the rescue with her two sisters, one brother, and two cats. She was quickly picked up by one of our foster families with her brother, Jack. Penny is still mourning the loss of her owner. She is gentle but is still not comfortable enough to come to her foster family when called. However, when the family sits on the couch to watch TV, she quickly jumps up and likes to sit next to you and her brother, Jack. She does allow you to pet her and rub her ears once she is comfortable next to you. She will also come to you if you offer her a treat and will eat it out of your hand. Penny will need time for you to gain her trust but she is making progress every day. Penny is house trained and has gone outside, but due to the stress of a new environment, she has had a few accidents in the home, usually on the pee pads. Penny sleeps well in her crate and gets along well with her brother and the two other dogs in the foster house. Penny has a cataract in her right eye but she seems to deal with it in stride and has no problem doing doggie things. She received dental work this week and is fully vetted.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Welcome Gracie to CCPAL Foster Program. Gracie is 1.5 years of age and she is a Dachshund dog. She is what we call a high mixed dog. She weighs 11 pounds. She is the momma dog for the pups we are now finding homes for. She is good on a leash, good in a car and potty trained. She is very sweet and as most Dachshunds, she is loyal and a good lap dog. She is getting her vaccines here at the Rescue and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She would be fine in a home with children. We always like the children to be 10 or older with small dogs. She would need a fenced yard if let outside off leash. She would be fine with a smaller yard. She won’t need mounds of exercise to be happy. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful adopters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. We don’t adopt to Rhode Island or to adopters from Massachusetts due to the regulations in these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org

The world can be a bit of a nerve wracking experience when you have spent your entire life in one house and not met any new people or seen any new things These babies are very nervous, soft words of encouragement are definitely needed, nobody tries to bite they are all just very nervous, a quiet house with no children would be best, and plenty of love and patience, they are not going to be the kind of babies that are wanting to go for walks, that may come in time but it will probably take a while to achieve that level of confidence, do you sound like a good fit?

Story
"LOVE HEALS" Reishi, a 1 year old neutered Dachshund mix, has overcome incredible adversity to become the loving companion he is today. Rescued from a Tennessee hoarding case, Reishi's early life was marked by neglect, isolation, and overcrowding. Reishi's start in life was far from ideal. Reishi's fosters have witnessed remarkable growth, and he's now ready for a forever home where he'll continue to blossom as a loyal and loving friend. Reishi is truly a remarkable boy. Initially, he may require gentle interactions, avoiding sudden movements, and close proximity. However, once he's deemed you safe, Reishi's true personality shines: happy, goofy, and affectionate. Consistent training, and socialization will help Reishi build trust and confidence.  With his unique long legs, courtesy of his Min Pin mix heritage, Reishi loves to run. He thrives around other dogs and would do best in a home with a doggo sibling(s), Reishi loves being part of a pack! He loves outdoor adventures, walks, and playtime. Older kids (8+) who respect personal space are ideal, while Reishi's curiosity requires a cat-free home. This intelligent pup is always eager to learn and please. He is treat-motivated and thrives on positive reinforcement.  By adopting Reishi, you'll not only gain a loving companion but also provide a second chance at a happy life.  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2083262##

Story
Meet Lucky and Sassy bonded pair They are being fostered in East Tn. Out of state welcome and transport to your area to the north east and great lakes areas is included in their adoption fee. We use rescue riders for all of our pet transport needs because they have always been great with our pets. These two little ladies are a bonded pair and are twins. Lucky is the darker brindle of the two and Sassy is a bit lighter. They are absolutely sweet little doll babies. They love to sit on your lap and give love and kisses. They are house trained and pad trained as well as crate trained if needed. They are about 5.5 years old and fairly active but laid back just as much. They love chewing nylabone power chewers or any nylabone type hard chews. They only weigh around 9 lbs each so no lap is too small to share lol They tolerate cats ok but we think they would do best in a home with older children that can respect space and not chase or scare them. Ideally a home with a laid back lifestyle that loves to cuddle without too much stress would be great for them. The adoption fee is for them as a pair we will not separated them. Please apply for them at petpath.org
