This adorable little girl is Bella. She is a one-year old dachshund mix and weighs 14 lb. Bella is a fearful dog and will need a calm home with a patient person to help her feel safe and live her best life. Bella has been making great improvement with the help of our trainer and there will be continued support after adoption. Bella may do best in a home without other dogs but she is fine with cats. Bella is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and healthy. Her adoption fee is $440. Meet Hoss and Little Joe, a bonded pair of dachshund mixes who will fill your home with energy and affection. Hoss is a 5-year-old white and tan boy who weighs 26 lbs, while Little Joe is a 3-year-old dark red pup who weighs 15 lbs. These two were found running loose in Columbia, SC and were never claimed. They're absolutely inseparable and must be adopted together—they're a package deal! Both boys are incredibly sweet and affectionate, and watching them interact is pure joy. When you ask "who wants to go outside?" the enthusiastic barking begins as they get so excited to run around together. Little Joe loves to wrestle Hoss while they're zooming around the yard, and it's the cutest thing you'll ever see. Environment Hoss and Little Joe need a fenced yard where they can run, play, and burn off their energy together. They are potty trained as long as taken out regularly and do not have accidents in the house. These boys are quite vocal—they love to bark when they're excited (especially about going outside) and when people approach—so a home without shared walls would be best. They can be left alone for a little while and do okay, though they're happiest when their people are around. Neither has been crate trained in their current foster home, so that's unknown territory. They love walks but need some leash training—they're enthusiastic but not quite polished yet. Pets & People Hoss and Little Joe absolutely love people. They bark as they approach new folks, but their tails are wagging the whole time and they're looking for pets and affection. They're the same way with strangers—all bark (literally) and lots of love. With other dogs, they needed a bit of time to adjust. For the first 2-3 days in their foster home, they barked at the resident dogs. By day 6, Little Joe decided he wanted to sit next to his foster mom on the couch. By day 10, Hoss joined them on the couch (though not quite ready to sit right next to her). By day 16, Hoss had claimed his own spot next to his foster mom. Once they warm up, they're wonderful with other dogs and would likely do well in a home with or without canine siblings. Both boys finish their food quickly but are respectful of other dogs who are still eating—no food guarding or pushiness. They can be a little snatchy when given treats, but they're working on being gentle and are making progress. Health & Special Needs Hoss and Little Joe are both on Hills Science Diet small bites weight management food to keep them at healthy weights. They also take fish oil capsules to help with their dry skin, which keeps their coats looking and feeling better. Location Hoss and Little Joe are available for adoption from Greensboro, GA and both boys do fine in the car, they handled an hour-long car ride from Augusta to their foster home without any issues. Looking for double the love? Meet Lili and Lulu, a bonded duo who will fill your home with kisses, cuddles, and endless entertainment. Lili and Lulu are 3-4 year old dachshund mixes with gorgeous short red coats. Lili weighs 25.6 lbs and Lulu weighs 23.2 lbs (both are working on reaching healthier weights). These two are inseparable and must be adopted as a pair. Lili is the confident leader of the pack—a huge lovebug who's always ready with kisses and attention. She's curious, easy-going, and loves to sniff everything on walks. Lulu is the smart, observant one who's initially more hesitant but incredibly sweet once she feels comfortable. She's energetic, playful, loves her toys, and is a devoted cuddler. Together, they play throughout the day, groom each other, and create the most beautiful bond you'll ever see. Environment These high-energy girls need daily walks and play sessions to stay happy and healthy. They're both fully potty trained and don't require a fenced yard, though outdoor time for exercise is important. Lili is very sweet and gentle with people. She loves attention and is usually the first one to approach for pets and kisses. She had family visitors over and was friendly and happy the whole time. Lulu likes attention and cuddles once she's warmed up to someone, but she's initially more hesitant with new people. They would do best with older, considerate children. Pets & People With strangers, Lili sometimes does a "preventive bark" during walks—one or two barks as if to say "I'm here, stay back." Once she sees that her people know and trust the person, she becomes friendly and comes closer for greetings. Lulu can be hesitant with strangers and may take steps back, but once she sees her people trust someone, she'll approach and interact, eventually accepting pets. The girls met another dachshund on a walk and did fine. During walks, Lili has strong reactions toward other animals—she pulls the leash and is eager to get closer, requiring redirection. She's done the "preventive bark" at stranger dogs from a distance. Lulu doesn't pay much attention to other dogs. Both girls have prey drive and will need experienced owners who can work on their leash reactivity. It's all show, and once he gets comfortable, he's just as loving with the guys. With other dogs, Linnie is wonderful! He moved into a multi-dog household without any incident and has even developed a sweet romance with an older Dalmatian mix girl in his foster home. His behavior around cats is unknown, but he definitely has herding instincts—he really likes to try to herd deer, which is both entertaining and something to watch for on walks! Linnie isn't a beggar, but he's definitely an opportunist when treats are being handed out—he'll snatch them at every chance! He's enthusiastic about food but not pushy about it during regular mealtimes. This boy adores toys and would absolutely love to play with squeaky toys. A home where he can enjoy all the squeakers would be a dream come true for Linnie!
