Story
Have you ever met someone and just… clicked? Evie has. Actually, Evie hasn’t ever met someone and not “clicked.” She’s a social butterfly with other animals and humans alike, a true instant best friend, ready to find her forever family!
We think Evie is a Corgi, Australian Shepherd mix. She is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. Evie is petite and sweet, a low rider at a very pick-up-able size. She’s estimated to be just one year old, and the excitement of puppyhood has not left her yet! This girl can run and play all day, but at the end of the exhilaration of simply being a dog- she prioritizes a good couch snuggle and a few sweet kisses from her friends.
Fall in love with Eve here: https://youtu.be/eALwGWx63Hc?feature=shared
Evie is one of those dogs that steps foot on rescue property and becomes the star of the show. She was so adored during her behavior assessment that we all kind of felt like we were just playing. It’s always magical when a rescue dog makes the staff forget that they’re “working.” Evie brings this magic everywhere she goes, leaving a trail of adoring friends. She’s a perfect little adventure dog for it! Take this girl on long walks, to events, patio cafes or shopping- watch her win hearts and amaze strangers.
With other dogs, Evie is a riot! The life of the party! She’s friendly and happy with every dog she meets, with this bouncy playstyle that can get even the grumpiest of dogs to play with her. Her perfect match would be a medium energy male, but this social sweetie gets along famously with just everyone.
With kitties, it’s much the same. She wants to say hi, she wants to play. She met our house kitty, and you can see her cat test for yourself in her video! She would do well living with dog-savvy kitties that get her fun-loving vibe.
While we haven’t seen Evie with kids just yet, we think she’s gentle and sweet enough for family dog life. We would be happy to kid-test her at your request!
Sweet Evie is sooo much fun. She adores toys, and she loves to play with her humans. Throw the toy and watch her chase, or join Evie for a game of tug of war. She’s really smart too, she already knows sit and walks pretty well on leash. With a little polishing, she’ll be a perfect walking companion in no time.
Evie is petite and well-mannered enough for an apartment lifestyle, but she’s more of a zoomer than most and may enjoy a backyard. She’s a really adaptable girl- if you have it in your heart to take her home, she won’t complain about her new digs! She’s ready for her forever, and ready to meet you, and knowing Evie, it will be love at first sight when you finally meet! We are willing to test Evie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
