Story
Meet Ingo Blue, a loving and happy boy ready to be a perfect family dog, or a wonderful companion dog. Ingo is all good looks and great personality, with great manners too! Ingo is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are a mystery but we think he may be a Corgi, Pittie mix. He’s got the squatty little sausage body of a smaller breed, with a big blocky head. He’s adorable, an accidental designer mutt! We estimate his age to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in around 43 pounds. Meet Ingo here: https://youtu.be/9DLb0LGOv6U?si=0nylM7DU7A77M9PA Ingo is a social and sweet boy that’s never met a stranger. He has great leash skills and he’s easy in the car too, which would make him an excellent little adventure dog! Take him to the park, events, or patio restaurants and watch him steal hearts with his dashing looks and fun-loving personality. Ingo would make an amazing family dog, and we really mean that. We saw such impressive social skills with a three year old. Ingo greeted him respectfully, friendly as ever, but when the kiddo showed little interest he moved along quickly. We stayed in the same room for around twenty minutes, and in that time, the three year old walked around with a dog toy in his hand and Ingo didn’t jump! He ate a snack and watched a show while Ingo did his own thing and played with his own toy. Ingo won’t rile up your kids, or steal food off their plates, he won’t jump or scratch, he was absolutely PERFECT with a three year old! Ingo is currently fostered in a home with two other dogs around his size, and he does fabulously with both of them. They like to zoom in the back yard together, share toys, and cuddle-puddle for nap time. Here at the rescue, Ingo did well meeting other dogs, male and female! He enjoyed his time sniffing around and playing chase with them. Ingo was cat-tested here at the rescue as well, see his cat test for yourself in his video! He did well meeting our house cat Tom, and we think he’s cat tolerant and could live with dog savvy kitties. Ingo’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to call his own, but he’s not too picky about the rest. We think he would adore having some doggy siblings in the home, and/or some kiddos! He did so well with our three year old kid-testing volunteer, he is a top contender for the family dog lifestyle! This unique and handsome little guy is ready for forever love! Knowing him, it will be love at first sight when he finally meets his forever family. Apply to adopt this sweetheart today. We are willing to test him with anything you need us to in order to ensure that he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
