Story
Corgi lovers- this one is for you!
Lou Lassie is a polite little gentleman, with all of the classic Corgi charm and a wonderfully vibrant personality. We may venture to say that this good lookin’ guy is 100% Corgi- but ultimately he is a rescue, so his exact lineage is a mystery to us. Currently, Lou weighs in at just 33 sausage-shaped pounds. He is an established good boy at an estimated ten years old, still vivacious as ever.
Fall in love with Lou here: https://youtu.be/-_4qYeuUGOo?feature=shared
Lou is a people’s dog, he’s a perfect little party boy, fully capable of working a crowd. He adores humans, new and known alike, and warms up in an instant. Within seconds of meeting this guy, we were giving him head scratches and getting kisses.
With other animals, on the other hand, Lou is polite but pretty indifferent. He is currently fostered in a home with two female small dogs, who he does well with, but does not play with. He’s also cat-tolerant, completely unbothered by feline existence. Here at the rescue, we tested him with both dogs and cats, and he didn’t seem to mind them at all, but didn’t seem too enthused by them either. We believe that Lou would prefer life as an only dog, based on his indifference to other dogs.
Lou is quiet and well-mannered in the home, and he doesn’t require too terribly much exercise. He doesn’t mind a walk though, and does really well on leash!
Sit, lay down, roll over- Lou has many tricks up his metaphorical sleeve. This guy loves to show off for treats, and he’s a gentle treat taker too. Old dogs can indeed learn new tricks, and Lou would be more than happy to learn for the right price! (It’s cheese- Lou’s price is cheese. It’s his favorite!)
In his foster home, Lou’s favorite place to be is in bed. He’s a little bit of a lazybones, and loves a good snuggle under the blankets. Lou knows how to live the good life, and he knows he deserves it! P.S. Lou’s foster family brags that he isn’t destructive, and is potty trained!!
Sweet little Louey is looking for his forever- will you take this doggy home with you? We believe Lou would do best in a child-free home, a house with or without a yard, or maybe even an apartment. He requires lots of pets, but minimal exercise- he’s really a pretty easy pup. Lou is so naturally happy, he’s sure to bring joy into any home. We are willing to test Lou with anything you need us to in order to ensure he is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
