Story
Meet Rooster!Rooster is a 6-month-old Corgi/German Shepherd mix with the heart of a shepherd and the charm of a corgi—all in a compact, under-30-pound package! Rooster got his name due to his Shepard-like tail that is always in the air like a rooster and his speedy prance around the yard. This neutered boy is full of puppy joy. He loves to smile, give kisses- lots of kisses- and play all day—especially if there’s a chance to run in the rain!Rooster is crate trained and nearly potty trained. He’s dog-friendly and likely cat-friendly too (though he hasn’t been tested yet). He’s an outdoor-loving pup who would thrive with a family that enjoys hikes, walks, and hanging out in the fresh air.Because Rooster spent his first five months mostly in a crate and under fed, he’s a little food possessive right now. But at his young age, with consistent training and patience, this is something he can absolutely grow out of.He’s still learning some house manners, but Rooster is incredibly smart, eager to please, and very trainable. With the right guidance, he’ll be the perfect lifelong adventure buddy! Rooster was born in October 2024 and is being fostered in Texas. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. Story
Danny Devito got his name from his short body and attitude. He is full of personality and loves to play fetch. Danny likes children and had his very own little girl with his previous owner. He seems to love everyone he meets. Danny is house trained, crate trained and fully vetted. We are still working on leash training, as he thinks he needs to say Hi to everyone we pass. Danny gets along with the foster cats, but he has been known to chase cats. His perfect forever home will be one where he is an only child that gets all the attention and gets to play fetch till he drops. He does have a best friend, a female foster in his current home, that he plays with for hours, so he does get along with other female dogs, It just depends on the dog. If you think Danny might be a good fit for your family email us at info@muttsandmittens.com

Story
Batman is about 10 years old. We’ve had him since about 2 years old (per vet estimate). He was rescued in the DFW area after being abandoned. With the help of a professional trainer, we realized he was previously abused by his first home. We have since done extensive training and medications to help with his anxiety. We now have 2 little ones and cannot give him the love he deserves. He loves to play outside, go on walks (is also trained off-leash), and loves lots of petting. House and crate trained, great with taking bathes, and getting brushed. Batman would be a great fit for a single person or someone that has older children. We at one point had a cat, and they got along well, but he prefers to be the one with the most attention.

Story
Taffy is an 8-month-old female Corgi mix with a personality as delightful as her name! Sweet, playful, and affectionate, Taffy is crate trained and wonderfully socialized. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes, adores children, and even does well with cats. Her friendly and easygoing nature makes her the perfect addition to just about any family.   Taffy and her sister faced a tough start in life. They were abandoned in the freezing cold in a rural area, left to fend for themselves. Without the kindness of a rescuer, they wouldn’t have survived. Now thriving in foster care, Taffy is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving forever home she deserves. Could you be the one to give her the happy ending she’s been waiting for?
