UPDATE:  ISAAC has had the surgery to remove his cherry eye and all is well.  There is no medicine or daily care that he will need.  This is Isaac a 2 year old, 15 pounder who was very shy at first but warmed up quickly to the other dogs and his new surroundings. He is house and crate trained, my 2nd rescue for 2024 and he is extremely close to his buddy BUZBY. He follows BUZBY around like a shadow. They have a great time running zoomies in the backyard and playing chase. They do know there is a difference between inside and outdoor play. ISAAC is quiet and gives soft kisses. He is not bothered by the other foster dogs in the home but his buddy is BUZBY and he loves him. We think he is a Pomeranian/Corgi mix, he white coat is very soft and smooth and he does not mind you giving him head rubs. ISAAC has a cherry eye but is scheduled to have it removed this week before adoption. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.So this is DANNY whom I have no idea what real breed he is.  He looks like a Corgi Mix and he is long haired, I just do not know.  He is 4 years old and weighs 22 pounds. DANNY loves to hang out with me and lay on me and he growls or moans while he is doing it, I guess it is pleasing to him.  He was rescued from a not so good situation.  He was with his deceased owner for 2 weeks before relatives showed up and found them together.  The relatives put him in the yard and just forgot about him, never coming back to make sure he was okay or anything.  The neighbors fed and watered him another week until the relatives relinquished him.  The neighbors brought him to me and he has been settling in. He gets along with the other dogs but really has no interest in playing with any of them, he just wants to hang out with me.  Follows me all over the house.  He does play with toys and loves his chew bones.  He can be trusted in the home while and I am gone on errands and he is potty trained.  He puts himself in the crate sometimes to get away from the other dogs but he does not like me to lock him in. MADDIE is a very good girl who is pleasant to be around and low maintenance on a daily basis.  She gets along with all of the dogs in the foster home and plays with most of them.  She is so easy-going and nice.  I figure she came from a home with kids in it because when she was found she had a pink marker drawing on her head, only a kid would do that.  Sadly, MADDIE was abandoned in a local PetSmart here in San Antonio, TX.  A lady pretending to be showing brought her in and just left her in the store to roam around.  The manager called me to help and I picked her up. Jordie’s journey began in an unfortunate way—he and a female dog, whom we named Juliet, were seen being dumped along the side of a road in a San Antonio neighborhood. Thankfully, a group of Good Samaritans saw the heartbreaking event unfold and rushed to get both dogs to safety. They were chasing after the car that left them behind, but now they are in good hands. At around 3 and a half years old, Jordie has shown his true, loving nature since the moment he was rescued. With his short legs, pointed ears, and adorable face, he’s a charming little guy with a big heart. Jordie loves nothing more than to give and receive kisses, and he’s always eager to be near you, often trying to snuggle in your lap or stay as close as possible. Jordie has been making great progress with leash walking and potty training, though he’s still a work in progress. This handsome boy came to us as an owner surrender due to his previous owner’s declining health. Now, Oso is ready to start a new chapter with a family who will adore his playful spirit and affectionate nature. Oso is incredibly friendly and outgoing—he never meets a stranger! Because of having to fight for lovins and food I would probably do best in a quieter home. I can be more dominant and would do best as your one and only or with a more submissive smaller dog. I like to play with them and have a grand ole time getting a good game of chase going on. I will need a slower acquisition period with a 4legged playmate. I am so super loving with my people, coming up with smiles (yes, I have that corgi smile!) and tail wags. I is a sweet, adorable pup of around 3 years old and 12lbs that has that cuteness overload that will win over your heart with my charming and sometimes silly personality. I would make a great companion for a retired person or someone that works from home. I is ready to start this next chapter in life with lots of puppy kisses, tail wags and cuddles with my new family!! And I do give the sweetest lil kisses!! I do great with people and even do well with the smaller versions. I did get the chance to meet one of those creatures y'all call a cat and I'll be honest...I didn't know what to think!! I still not quite sure what to think but she didn't run from me and even let me get in a few sniffs. She seems to be A-Okay and most of the time I don't really pay her any never no minds! I am crate trained and I'm working on my housetraining and doing fairly well with it. I'm let out often and it didn't take me long to know to do my business outside and haven't had an accident in a while. I will need some guidance in leash training as I've never had the pleasure of going for a leash walk. :( But I think with a little patience I'll really enjoy them! I sleep all night long and my favoritest spot is...you guessed it, right beside you in bed!! I am sooooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness on a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap, so if you think I'd be a pawsome fit for you and your lifestyle, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application!
