Story
Hi everyone my name is Jasper and I am about to turn 9 years old and I am a Corgi and pug mix boy that is 24 lbs and my 91 yr old Dad just went into assisted living.   His family is not able to take me and let me live out the rest of my life with them so they have asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to find a foster for me. I'm lucky because lots of people ask them every hour of the day to get a new place for their dog. I'm a good boy but I really don't want to live with another dog. You can see from my pictures I'm quite playful and I have a great smile. I am housebroken and I really don't need a crate because I'm a good boy when loose in the house and I'm minding my P's and Q's when you're gone. I've got lots of great healthy years ahead of me. I'm looking for someone special to spend them with. I need someone that loves a good strong playful medium sized dog that does everything right in life. Because my original Dad never took me out with other dogs much, I am mostly defensive when I am confronted with other dogs on a walk.  They scare me honestly.   I just need to be in a home with no other dog so I can feel safe and secure.  Hard to teach an older dog like me new tricks. But I know someone will just want only ME to be their one and only, so I'm looking for happy people because I'm happy boy. I've got a great outgoing personality and I can help you make more friends if you just take me for walks and let me work my cuteness factor and charm.  I'm neutered, I'm totally vetted and healthy and I'm microchipped. I'm also very ready to spend the holidays with you as my new best friends and forever family . Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you would like to know more about me and apply to adopt. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.January 7, 2025, 1:25 pm

Story
Velveeta! Check out this creamy dish that is the one and only Velveeta! Velveeta is an approx 3 year old female corgi who came to us from an Amish commercial breeder as they were downsizing (yay!). Velveeta is more outgoing than many dogs that come from this sort of setting, but will still need a patient family to help expose her to some of the many adventures she has not benefited from yet, like car rides. Velveeta is good with other dogs and is good in a crate. Any adopter should expect to work on basic training such as housebreaking and leash walking. Velveeta's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations to date, and microchipping. She is also up to date on preventatives and has had a good grooming. Interested? Please go to https://www.dogtownrescue.org/online-adoption-application to complete an online application. An approved application and appointment are required to meet any of our dogs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. At 9 years old and 16 lbs., Wheezy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. To say she was scared is an understatement.  Wheezy was very happy to get out of the shelter with us and simply cuddled up for a nice ride home.   Wheezy is good with both dogs and cats. She is well-behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. The best news of all, she is housebroken. She is a great girl who is looking for a second chance with a family of her own. Wheezy has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and had a dental done where they needed to remove several of her teeth. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. OUR RESCUE WILL COVER THE COST OF HER MEDICATION. She is doing great with it and will make a wonderful pet for a lucky family. See Wheezy's Photo Album here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.939472228183262&type=3 If interested, please fill out an adoption application online at njshpetrescue.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 8, 2025, 4:23 pm

Story
Comer is a precious 9-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who’s sure to capture your heart. Weighing in at a perfect 30 lbs, she’s the ideal size to curl up on your lap for a cozy cuddle or snuggle beside you after a long day. While she may be considered a senior, Comer’s heart and energy are young at spirit, and she’s ready to live her best life with you! Sadly, Comer had to be surrendered back to Eleventh Hour Rescue after her previous owner became ill. But despite the challenges she’s faced, Comer’s resilience shines through. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to be around her people and is great with her housemates, Lucy the dog and Rory the cat. While Comer can be a little picky about her canine friends, she’s always open to proper introductions, so slow and thoughtful meetings with other dogs are key. Comer is friendly and loves to spend time with her humans, but she can be a bit nervous around men. A gentle, patient introduction to new male family members will help her feel comfortable and build trust. Once she’s settled, Comer is all about giving and receiving love. Whether she’s lounging with you on the couch or enjoying a playful moment, her joyful personality will surely brighten your day. House-trained, crate-trained, and a model car passenger, Comer is a well-behaved companion who’s ready to bring happiness and comfort to her forever home. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $215, a small price for a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly best friend who will shower you with affection, Comer might be the perfect match for you. Apply today at EHRDOGS.ORG and ask for COMER — she can’t wait to meet you! January 25, 2025, 9:11 pm
