Story
Hi my name is Theodore and I’m a purebred Pembroke Corgi who will be 3 in November. I’m completely potty trained and free roam the house when my people are gone and have no problems. I’m great with people and would be the best dog as long as I'm the only pet. I’m easy to walk and really love to explore. I love to lay around in the sunny grass, to cuddle and follow my people everywhere. Like other Corgis, I love to be by or on your feet and all times. I would love to be a part of your family as long as I'm your only best friend. I haven’t been around children but am not people agressive at all. I do very well in a car and just like to stretch my long body wherever I can. My hips were tested as a puppy and no issues were found. If you’d like to know more about me, please contact my mom. I can’t wait to meet you.

Story
Carrie Bradshaw is a beautiful small corgi who is about 3 years old. Her previous owners had to give her up when they had to move in with family due to health and financial issues. But that is not even the saddest part of her story. Her previous owners found her in the street as a puppy. Knowing that one of their neighbors was a corgi breeder, they thought she had gotten loose and brought her back. But the breeder told them that she had tossed her and two other siblings out on the street because they weren't the right color.... One of her siblings was later found run over in the street. She deserves to live the rest of her life experiencing only joy. She is great with other dogs, people and with dog-savvy cats. She does like to chase kitties when they run, so if your kitty is skittish, this would probably not be the best fit. She is super sweet and walks great on the leash and does well in the crate. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed. microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $600 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Olive & Lily are a bonded pair and their adoption fee is $450. They are microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed. These two came to us because their previous owners died. When they arrived at POOCH, Olive was experiencing a skin issue, and her tummy and chest were bare, and she had a rash. We have worked with our vet and a pet food specialist to determine what was causing the issue. She is hypothyroid and will be on thyroid medication for the foreseeable future. Thankfully, this medication is low cost, and it is a relatively easy condition to treat. Her fur is growing back and she is looking like she feels a lot better! She and Lily are very close and Olive often steps on her "sister," because she doesn't want to be too far from her. Olive is the more vocal and adventurous of the two. She walks well on a leash and we are working on her dog reactivity. She's currently on FirstMate Fish kibble with a splash of goat's milk to help with her coat and potential allergies. She will likely need to stay on a special diet for the rest of her life. Learn more about this pair and submit an application at pooch.org/olivelive
