Story
Quick Facts Name: Sunhee (Sunny)  Age: 6 years old Gender: Female Spayed: Yes Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Color: White & Beige Weight: 9 kg (approx. 20 lbs)  All About Me Hi there! My name is Sunny, and just like my name, I bring warmth and happiness wherever I go. I’m an easygoing pup with a friendly nature. I adore people, whether they’re familiar faces or new friends. I might not be the type to jump into your lap right away, but give me a little time, and I’ll happily stay by your side, following you around and keeping you company. My Personality I’m a social butterfly who enjoys meeting both people and dogs. I greet everyone with a wagging tail and am always ready to make new friends. While I don’t always seek out cuddles, I love being near my humans and will often curl up close to them. Occasionally, I’ll climb onto the bed and give you gentle kisses to show my affection. I have a calm and gentle nature—I don’t bark at delivery people or strangers, and I’ve never shown aggression toward people or other dogs. I’m also quite adaptable and naturally fall into my family’s routine, whether that means relaxing at home or heading out for an adventure. On My Walks I enjoy my walks and love sniffing around to take in all the interesting scents. Sometimes, I get so caught up in exploring that I stop and start frequently, but overall, I walk well on a leash. I prefer doing my business outdoors, so I appreciate getting outside 2-3 times a day. Life at Home I’m a quiet and well-mannered housemate. I rarely bark, except when I’m extra excited about mealtime! I’m still learning basic commands, but I now recognize my name and can sit when asked—especially if treats are involved. Other commands like “down” or “paw” are new to me, but with a little patience, I’m sure I can learn. Bath time? No problem! I handle it well. Loud noises, like vacuum cleaners or hair dryers, can be a bit scary, but if you give me some space, I’ll sit calmly while you dry me off. I’m still getting used to being picked up or sitting on laps, but I don’t mind gentle touches. You can even stroke my ears or tail, and I’ll stay relaxed.  My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving home where I can continue to blossom. Here’s what would make me happiest: A family who enjoys daily walks – Since I prefer outdoor potty breaks, regular walks are important for me. A patient adopter – I’m still learning basic commands and getting used to human interactions, so a little patience will go a long way. A calm environment – I’m not a high-energy dog, so a peaceful home where I can relax and feel safe would be perfect. Last Message If you’re looking for a gentle, loving dog who will quietly follow you around and brighten your days, I’d love to meet you. Let’s create happy memories together! ##2300944##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Jamong  Age: 4 years old  Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Welsh Corgi  Color: White & Brown  Weight: 15kg All About Me Hi, I’m Jamong! I’m a four-year-old Welsh Corgi with a soft white and brown coat and a personality as bold as my name. Weighing 15kg (33lb), I have the typical corgi charm—full of love, energy, and a little bit of attitude. My life started in a pet shop, and for four years, I lived with a family. Unfortunately, when life got too busy for them, they left me tied up outside an old goat farm and never came back. I didn’t get to go on many walks or meet other dogs before I was abandoned, but now, I’m making up for lost time and learning how fun life can be. My Personality I love people. Whether it’s someone I know or a stranger, I’ll happily run up, lean against them, and ask for pets. I enjoy being held and will even roll over to show my belly when I’m comfortable. If I decide you’re my favorite person, be prepared—I’ll follow you everywhere, sit by your side, and give you my full attention. I do have a jealous streak. If my person is paying attention to another dog, I don’t like it! I’ll bark or grumble to remind you that I should be your number one. Because of this, I’d do best as an only dog in my future home, where I don’t have to share my humans. Social Skills I get along with other dogs, no matter their size. I can meet and greet politely, and I enjoy playing—but I don’t like to share attention. If another dog gets too close while I’m with my person, I’ll let them know with a growl or a bark. I haven’t been tested with cats, so my reaction is unknown. Energy and Activities I have high energy and love to play. Running around with my favorite humans, playing fetch, and exploring make me so happy! However, I’m not built for endurance. Long walks tire me out, and I prefer short bursts of activity over extended exercise. Rather than hiking for hours, I’d love a home with a yard where I can run and play. If I have space to chase a ball or engage with my person, I’ll be the happiest dog in the world. Training and Habits I’m very smart and food-motivated, which makes training easy. I already know sit, wait, and shake paw, and I listen well when someone gives me a command. My focus is strong, and with consistent guidance, I could learn even more tricks. I don’t guard my food from people, but I don’t like other dogs coming near my food. If another dog approaches my meal, I may growl to keep them away. I am house-trained and prefer to go to the bathroom outside. I don’t usually have accidents indoors, but if I’m in an unfamiliar place, I might mark my territory until I feel settled. My Ideal Home I need a home where I can be the center of attention. Since I get jealous easily, I would be happiest as the only dog in my family. My new home should be one that appreciates my playfulness, affectionate nature, and intelligence. A yard or outdoor space would be ideal for me to run around and get my energy out. If I don’t have access to a yard, I’ll need plenty of interactive playtime with my favorite humans. Because I form strong attachments to my people, I’d love a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your loyal shadow, best friend, and cuddle buddy, I might be the perfect match. Special Notes I am a fun, smart, and loving dog who is happiest when I have my favorite person all to myself. I have a strong personality, a love for play, and a big heart. If you’re looking for a companion who will stick by your side, make you laugh, and keep you active, I just might be the perfect fit for you. ##2323440##

Reason for Intake: Coco is afraid of the 18 month old child in the home and is growling and snarling at them. Up to Date with Vetting: Yes Good with dogs: She has lived with an older Golden retriever and a young, male, Lab.  She was fine with them and is better with calm dogs who don't get into her face and space. Good with cats: She lives with cats, however, the cats live on a different level of the home and they really don't interact.  She has had skirmishes with the cats and been found with fur in her mouth.   Good with kids: Not comfortable with toddlers or young children.  She has lived with children 10 years and older and been fine with them as long as they went slow with her and respected her boundaries. Good with strangers: Nervous with new people.  If a stranger comes to the door she will bark and her hackles will go up.  She is curious and will approach them most of the time but she doesn't enjoy being touched by strangers.  She is OK with them moving around in the home but will avoid them and go and lay out of the way.  More uncomfortable with men and people wearing hats. Resource guarding issues: She does not guard anything from the people in the home.  She has guarded her food bowl, treats, and toys from the dogs in the home. Ever bitten a human: No Ever bitten a dog: No Fears: Strangers, being handled, toddlers, car rides, busy streets.  Described as fearful in general. Housetrained: Yes Crate trained: They have not crated her.  She did travel here from Korea in a crate. Good in the car: She is anxious in the car.  She is terrified of car washes. Bark when left alone: No.  They are currently working from home but in the past she has been left alone while they worked full-time outside the home. Destructive: No Energy Level: Medium Leash skills: She walks well on leash but is reactive to other dogs on walks and will bark/growl/lunge at them.  She is afraid to walk on busy streets. Okay with physical handling/manipulations: In general she is uncomfortable with being handled.  They can bathe her but she does not enjoy it.  She is OK with them brushing her back but has snapped at them when they have tried to brush her longer fur.  She is professionally groomed but the groomer is careful and goes slow with her.  She has seen a mobile vet at home and a vet at a clinic.  She is fearful but they have been able to give her care. Known commands: sit, down, speak Food on now: Bold by Nature raw patties.  Chicken, beef, turkey, pork or duck. Behavioural issues: Fearful in general.  Afraid of the 18 month old child in the home and is growling/snarling at them.  Uncomfortable being handled and needs someone who is careful and goes slow.  Reactive to dogs while on leash and afraid to walk on busier streets.  Anxious in the car. Story
Jjalbong is an incredibly affectionate and charming pup who was rescued from a shelter. His sweet and adaptable personality has helped him settle into new environments quickly and easily. With his unique leopard-like coat pattern and short legs, Jjalbong is as adorable as he is special. At just 11 months old, Jjalbong is still a playful puppy who loves spending time with other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with them, and his friendly demeanor makes him irresistible to both humans and other pups. Even when other dogs bark or nibble at him, Jjalbong remains unbothered and approaches them with enthusiasm. While his playfulness might feel a bit intense for some dogs, he thrives with companions who share his energy level. Jjalbong warms up quickly to strangers, making him an easygoing and sociable companion. However, since he’ll be traveling overseas on a 14-hour flight and moving to a new environment, he’ll need time to adjust. Giving him the space and patience to come to you on his own terms will allow his bubbly and loving personality to shine through. On walks, Jjalbong loves exploring his surroundings and may pull on the leash occasionally, especially when he needs to potty or spots pigeons, cats, or other dogs. He’s currently in training to improve his leash manners. Sometimes, he gets so excited that he behaves a bit rambunctiously, but he responds well to gentle corrections and is improving every day. Jjalbong has a special love for grass, often rolling around or lying in grassy areas to his heart’s content. He has no known food allergies or picky eating habits and is fully potty-trained for outdoor environments. While he doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety at the moment, this may change depending on his living situation. He is generally quiet but might bark occasionally at sounds like bicycles passing by the house. A quick “no” or stepping in front of him usually stops the barking. Jjalbong is ready to bring his boundless affection and joyful energy to a loving family. His playful and endearing personality is sure to fill your home with happiness and laughter! Story
Seven / Male / Approx. 2 Years / 27lbs / Corgi Mix / Good with Dogs / Untested with Kids / Selective with Cats / From Mexico/ Fostered in Hamilton Meet Seven! Seven is described as super smart, loyal and laidback lap dog. It’s unclear if he’s being loving, or simply using your height to make up for his stumpy legs. Seven came to us from Mexico where he was found injured and stuck underneath a car. After being nursed back to health he moved onto our rescue partner's farm. He is one of the few dogs responsible enough to be given complete freedom on the farm. He is a soulful pup who can fall asleep anywhere, but he enjoys some bursts of playtime. He is interested in new people but prefers the company those he knows. Once he’s found his person he will happily follow them around the house and supervise in the kitchen. His ideal home would be somewhere outside of the city centre. Somewhere a bit more serene with not a lot of chaos, where his people are home often enough to spend quality time with him. His perfect family will let him hog the remote, sleep in their bed, and continue spoiling him. While Seven does well with other dogs, he’s not too interested in them. He has been tested with cats and chased one but did not show interest in the other. He could likely go to a home with a resident dog or dog saavy cat after a proper meet and greet. Slow intros are important as everything is new to him and he is still coming out of his shell. Seven is on the lower end of medium energy and will need two walks daily, potty breaks, as well as some canine enrichment. He walks well on a leash and is overall a very well-mannered boy. He knows his basic commands but can be stubborn, especially outside of the home where there are distractions. Seven would do well with a family who could continue working on his training with him. He has been known to climb fences so lost dog prevention is incredibly important for his family to be aware of. Seven has been left alone at home for up to 4 hours while crated, but his foster thinks he could be trusted with free reign. He also sleeps in his crate at night and does not show any signs of separation anxiety. This handsome little short stack is very versatile. He can be happy going for long hikes or binge-watching Grace and Frankie. If you’re looking for a best friend and someone to keep your lap warm, Seven is your guy! Prior to coming into care, Seven tested positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasma, which are tick-borne infections and are not contagious. A CBC was performed to see if there is an active infection; his CBC came back indicating that there is no active infection. It is recommended that Ehrlichia positive dogs get an annual blood test to monitor and that pre-op blood work include a CBC test and platelet count be performed before any surgeries or dental extractions. He was also treated for Heartworm and will continue to undergo treatment for heartworm. He does not require much in the way of special care but his adopters will need to ensure he receives his medications regularly. They should also limit prolonged, extra strenuous activity. Seven will stay on a combination of Doxycycline and a heartworm prevention pill until he has two negative heartworm tests 6 months apart. Fetch + Releash will cover the cost of the Doxycycline, the first 6 months of the heartworm prevention and the follow up heartworm test(s) provided they are done at our partner vet clinic. The adoptive family will then be responsible for covering the cost of the next 6 months of the heartworm prevention medicine. If you’re interested in adopting [dog name], please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Seven’s adoption fee is $850.
