Story
●Rescue Story Diah was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to show her true personality in a safe and loving environment. ●Temperament & Behavior Diah is a very people-loving dog. She is comfortable even with strangers touching her and often approaches first, asking for affection. As soon as someone pets her, she happily rolls onto her back, inviting more love and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. While she may feel a bit overwhelmed by dogs that play very roughly, once she has time to get to know them, she plays happily with dogs of all sizes—running, playing, and engaging in gentle wrestling. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Diah seemed a bit timid on walks, but with consistent leash training she has learned to walk nicely while matching her handler’s pace. Loud noises or passing cars may briefly startle her, causing her to pause, but if given a moment to calmly wait, she regains confidence and continues walking, sniffing around and enjoying her surroundings. She has no food allergies, is not a picky eater, and eats well. Her shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. ●Habits & Training Diah uses indoor pee pads about 80% of the time and goes potty outdoors about 20% of the time. She tolerates baths and brushing well and remains calm during grooming. She does not show separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. She rarely barks, only giving a short bark occasionally at the doorbell. She rides extremely well in the car with no motion sickness. When placed in a car seat, she calmly lies down, naps, watches people, or looks out the window. ●Likes & Personality Diah loves playing with toys and engaging in gentle play. She is currently living in a foster home. ●Personality (Three Words): Perfect, affectionate, and easygoing.

Story
** Current location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Bori! She was rescued from euthanasia at a city shelter in Korea. • Rescue Story Bori was rescued from a difficult environment and has since been given the chance to live in a safe home setting. When she first arrived, she was shy and cautious around people, especially unfamiliar ones. Over time, while living with her foster family, she has slowly begun to open up and show her gentle and thoughtful personality. With patience and consistency, Bori continues to grow more comfortable with human interaction and daily routines. • Personality: Gentle, mellow, and sweet • Bathing: She's afraid of water but tolerates it well. • Brushing: She doesn't like it, but she tolerates it • Shedding: Moderate • Energy level: 3 on a scale of 1-10 • Eating habits: Not picky, eats everything except for fruit • Allergies: None identified • Walking manners: Loves to sniff. No leash pulling • Dislikes: She's scared of loud noises • Favorite things: kisses, treats, and zoomies • Car rides (motion sickness): Loves car rides • House-trained: indoors on pee-pads • Barking/Howling: Rarely barks. Very quiet. • Separation anxiety: None • Crate-trained: Never crate-trained, but she knows how to go in and stay. • Aggression: none • Commands: Shake hands, sit, kisses • Additional Notes Bori is naturally shy and tends to be cautious around adult men. She enjoys treats very much and absolutely loves car rides—especially drives where she can feel the breeze through an open window. She would do well in most households, but because she prefers outdoor potty breaks, at least one daily walk is essential. Due to her mild separation anxiety, a home where long or frequent absences are common may be challenging for her. Bori is a smart, gentle, and well-mannered dog who adapts well to her environment. She is not picky about food and eats very well. When raised with patience and love, she becomes affectionate and gives that love back wholeheartedly. She is hoping to find a family who can offer her plenty of care, consistency, and affection.

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Coby was found in Gajwa-dong, Incheon. At the time of rescue, he was wearing a collar, suggesting he may have once belonged to someone. However, despite waiting for over two months, no one came forward to claim him. He has since been living in foster care, where he has shown himself to be an exceptionally gentle and well-adjusted companion. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Coby likes other dogs and greets them politely without barking. He shows friendly interest and interacts calmly. When he sees cats, he shows curiosity and wants to follow them. He does not bark or show aggressive behavior, but he has not been tested off-leash with cats. He shows little interest in passing children. He has not had experience with very young children who are not yet walking. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Coby enjoys short daily walks, about 15–20 minutes in the morning and evening. After walks, he spends most of his time resting calmly at home. He walks nicely on leash and settles easily into a relaxed indoor routine. 🏡 Habits & Training Coby is fully pad-trained indoors. Because he lifts his leg when urinating, his pee pads are set up in an L-shape. Since starting twice-daily walks, he now prefers to poop outdoors, though he previously used indoor pads reliably as well. Early in foster care, he marked indoors 3–4 times. Occasionally, when left alone, he urinated on the sofa. After limiting sofa access during absences, this behavior stopped completely. He now consistently uses a single designated pad area and is very easy to manage indoors. He has no howling and no destructive behavior. He may bark briefly (about twice) at the doorbell, but otherwise he is a very quiet dog. Coby tolerates bathing, brushing, paw cleaning, and general handling extremely well. He enjoys staying close to people but is also comfortable sleeping separately at night. 💛 Likes & Personality Coby is affectionate and loving with people. When passersby show interest, he calmly makes eye contact and approaches when called to receive pets. His foster family describes him as an exceptionally easy dog to live with—so much so that they feel it would be hard to meet another dog as well-mannered as Coby. He is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation Customs and export documentation Medical care (spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Story
Irwin - 1 years, 28lbs, Corgi/Beagle Mix, Neutered This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Their Foster Parent Says: "Irwin is a sweet, affectionate young pup who loves giving kisses and crawling into your lap for a snuggle. He still has some of that puppy energy and loves playing with his toys, but will also calm down and relax on the rug near your feet or wander into his crate for a nap. He is adapting well to the city and loves meeting new people. Sometimes he may need to be discouraged from jumping on them enthusiastically! He is less sure about other dogs, so introductions should be made with caution. Irwin is fully house trained, crate trained, and is not destructive in the home. He would do best with an adopter who has leash training experience and will commit to working with him on this so he can become his most awesome self!" Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy levelMEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  TOLERANCE TO THE CITYIn between bean - fine with most things but gets scared with pour trucks POTTY TRAININGYes – Few or no accidents COMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERSSocial butterfly – Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, loves anyone who will stop to say hello.  BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)Maybe for age 12 and up – Is either big and energetic (okay with kids big enough not to get knocked down) or a little skittish (could be comfortable with older children that can be extra gentle)  SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSMostly – Generally good with other dogs but may be selective (scared of big dogs or plays too rough for small dogs, for example)  RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.)Nope – Chases and barks at cats etc., definitely not a good match for a home with cats or pocket pets  MOUTHY BEHAVIORNeeds training – Is either still in the puppy stage or was never trained. Tries to put their mouth on your hands when playing. Respectful with household items.  SEPARATION ANXIETY (Please leave your foster dog home alone every day for at least 20 minutes.)Past this stage – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry or exhibit destructive behavior when you leave the apartment or house.  LEASH MANNERSWTF is a leash – Pulls hard. Zig zags like crazy. Has no idea how to walk on a leash or doesn’t have outside privileges yet (too young) CUDDLE BUG LEVELHigh – Wants to be in your lap pretty much all the time  JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLONeeds training – Very excited to greet everyone and has no idea how to do so politely. Jumps up on most strangers or other dogs that go by. In puppy phase or wasn’t trained as a young adult.  CRATE TRAININGYep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night.  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from the South or Puerto Rico ; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
