Comer is a delightful 9-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who may be a senior in age, but certainly does not act like it! At 28 lbs, she’s the perfect size for snuggling on your lap or curling up beside you after a long day. Sadly, Comer’s previous owner became ill and had to surrender her back to Eleventh Hour Rescue. Despite the tough circumstances, Comer has maintained her loving spirit and resilience. Comer is people-friendly, however, Comer does have a little bit of nervousness around men and will need a slow, patient introduction to new male family members. This adorable girl is house-trained and crate-trained. She is good in a car, playful, and affectionate. She seems to tolerate dogs and she is great with cats. Comer has been spayed, is microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations, so she’s all ready to go to her new home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. At 9 years old and 16 lbs., Wheezy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. To say she was scared is an understatement. Wheezy was very happy to get out of the shelter with us and simply cuddled up for a nice ride home. Wheezy is good with both dogs and cats. She is well-behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. The best news of all, she is housebroken. She is a great girl who is looking for a second chance with a family of her own. Wheezy has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and had a dental done where they needed to remove several of her teeth. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. OUR RESCUE WILL COVER THE COST OF HER MEDICATION. She is doing great with it and will make a wonderful pet for a lucky family. Meet Merlin! This funny quirky 2 year old mix was surrendered when his owner was relocating. He had not been to a vet (ever?!), was covered in some kind of weird healing scabs that his owners said was a reaction to some new shampoo?, and was a bit thin but his skin has healed up nicely and he’s put on weight. He gets nervous at first and picks and chooses his friends, but warms up fast and dances around for attention. He is obsessed with squeaky toys, walks nicely on a leash, and is fine with other dogs and could live with or without them in a home. He was said to be a Maltese mix? Though he looks more like an eskie/pom mix or oversized longhair chihuahua. Merlin is 13lbs (probably should be about 15), has been vetted, neutered, updated on shots, and is ready for a home. This is the face of a senior who doesn’t understand why he’s homeless 😞 Meet Jorge. His owner was frantically driving around with him looking for a shelter to take him immediately, refusing to bring him back home because he snapped at them that morning trying to put his harness on when he wanted to be left alone. His owners had been having some changes in their living situation and health issues and it was just too much to continue to care for him. We were expecting the worst of him but he’s actually more of a sad scared boy than feisty and evil, and he tried really hard to show that he wasn’t comfortable being cornered and really didn’t like that harness. He’s been fine with other dogs and cooperative with us, picks up a routine quickly and likes having access to a fenced yard better than having to be walked. But he’s a pretty easy guy overall for the right home and doesn’t want to make waves and he’s been used to living with other dogs in the past. He’s about 12 years old, a chunky 20lbs and looks like a giant chihuahua, or a corgi on stilts, or a toy shepherd/husky mix 🤷‍♀️, neutered, updated on shots and in pretty good shape for his age overall. COLE is a sweet, cute pup. He is 5.8 month, was 23 lbs on 7/1 when neutered. He is a Corgi / JRT mix. He was some shy at first but has improved. He was trapped out in an a rural area. His siblings disappeared.... were never caught by our group. Cole is a very lucky one. He is working on all trainings. Crate trained. He likes the other dogs in his foster home. Hi everyone my name is Jasper and I am about to turn 9 years old and I am a Corgi and pug mix boy that is 24 lb and my 90 yr old Dad is going into assisted living. His family is not able to take me and let me live out the rest of my life with them so they have asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to find a foster for me and I have a really good one. I'm lucky because lots of people ask them every hour of the day to get a new place for their dog. I'm a good boy and I really like medium to small dogs best because big dogs kind of intimidate me. I haven't been around cats either so that is a BIG question mark. You can see from my pictures I'm quite playful and I have a great smile. I am a housebroken and I really don't need a crate because I'm a good boy when loose in the house and I'm minding my P's and Q's when you're gone. I've got lots of great healthy years ahead of me. I'm looking for someone special to spin them with. Someone that loves a good strong playful medium sized dog that does everything right in life. Because my original Dad never took me out with other dogs much, I am mostly defensive when I am confronted with other dogs. They scare me honestly. I just need to be in a home with no other dog so I can feel safe and secure. Hard to teach an older dog like me new tricks. But I know someone will just want only ME to be their one and only, so I'm looking for happy people because I'm happy boy. I've got a great outgoing personality and I can help you make more friends if you just take me for walks and let me work my cuteness factor and charm.
