Comer is a delightful 9-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who may be a senior in age, but certainly does not act like it! At 28 lbs, she’s the perfect size for snuggling on your lap or curling up beside you after a long day. Sadly, Comer’s previous owner became ill and had to surrender her back to Eleventh Hour Rescue. Despite the tough circumstances, Comer has maintained her loving spirit and resilience. Comer is people-friendly, however, Comer does have a little bit of nervousness around men and will need a slow, patient introduction to new male family members. This adorable girl is house-trained and crate-trained. She is good in a car, playful, and affectionate. She seems to tolerate dogs and she is great with cats. Comer has been spayed, is microchipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations, so she’s all ready to go to her new home. Meet Merlin! This funny quirky 2 year old mix was surrendered when his owner was relocating. He had not been to a vet (ever?!), was covered in some kind of weird healing scabs that his owners said was a reaction to some new shampoo?, and was a bit thin but his skin has healed up nicely and he’s put on weight. He gets nervous at first and picks and chooses his friends, but warms up fast and dances around for attention. He is obsessed with squeaky toys, walks nicely on a leash, and is fine with other dogs and could live with or without them in a home. He was said to be a Maltese mix? Though he looks more like an eskie/pom mix or oversized longhair chihuahua. Merlin is 13lbs (probably should be about 15), has been vetted, neutered, updated on shots, and is ready for a home. This is the face of a senior who doesn’t understand why he’s homeless 😞 Meet Jorge. His owner was frantically driving around with him looking for a shelter to take him immediately, refusing to bring him back home because he snapped at them that morning trying to put his harness on when he wanted to be left alone. His owners had been having some changes in their living situation and health issues and it was just too much to continue to care for him. We were expecting the worst of him but he’s actually more of a sad scared boy than feisty and evil, and he tried really hard to show that he wasn’t comfortable being cornered and really didn’t like that harness. He’s been fine with other dogs and cooperative with us, picks up a routine quickly and likes having access to a fenced yard better than having to be walked. But he’s a pretty easy guy overall for the right home and doesn’t want to make waves and he’s been used to living with other dogs in the past. He’s about 12 years old, a chunky 20lbs and looks like a giant chihuahua, or a corgi on stilts, or a toy shepherd/husky mix 🤷‍♀️, neutered, updated on shots and in pretty good shape for his age overall. Meet Conner! This beautiful little boy is a quiet, loves his humans kind of guy! ASCZ thinks he could have some Corgi & Chihuahua. He's about a year old and currently weighs about 16 pounds. We don't think he will get much bigger than that! This boy loves to hang out and explore, his current foster mom says his favorite time is coffee time in the garden taking in the sights and sounds! He's good with other dogs & kids, but really doesn't appreciate cats so no cats for him! Conner would do best with a person that is home more than not, he just loves to be his person's shadow & to be loved on. He's super easy going and would make a great addition to any family. My name is Ziti! Like the pasta! We think I am a Corgi/Basenji mix. I am about 17 lbs and a young girl at around 18 months. I am an absolute love and I am great with dogs; I have lived with dogs big and small. I can be a little shy with people at first but once I get a few minutes, I am fine. I have spent time with kids and have no issue around them; I have not been around kids under 6 extensively. I really just need to feel safe and loved. I do have a birth defect which makes me, some would say, even more special! I was born without a kneecap in one of my back legs. I can still walk and run and jump and I operate without discomfort. This is just the way I am. I am pad trained and crate trained and I walk well on leash. I have frequented the Jersey shore and enjoy my time in the sand and near the ocean! I could see myself with one person where I can sit in their lap and keep them company or in a home with another fun dog and a family. No cats please; I have lived with them but seem selective with which ones I can tolerate. The ones I live with currently, I like to chase. However, past cats, I haven't had an issue with so I guess...yes... I am selective with the felines. I am a really great girl that would make a person very happy! Bucky was found on the side of the road and no one ever claimed him. He is a very sweet puppy that is learning about the world. Bucky is happy go lucky and loves attention and affection.
