My favorite thing in the world is being close to my human, and I will quietly follow you around, waiting patiently for head pats and all the affection you can give!I'm fully housebroken and haven't had a single accident in my foster mom's home. I also love using the doggy door but prefer spending my time inside with my people. I get along great with dogs of all sizes, and if needed, I can be tested with cats and kids to make sure we're a perfect fit.If you're looking for a calm, loyal, and loving companion, I could be the one for you! Please read ALL of the information below including the last paragraph. Also, please visit our web site at www.petssecondchance.org. Eve would like to grace you with her presence. She confidently holds her head up high to let you know how awesome she is. She is not wrong. Eve is an awesome little dog with lots of happiness to share. Eve is crate trained and doing well with potty training with just occasional accidents. She loves toys and squeaks them until they do not squeak any longer. It isn’t just her toys that squeak. When it is meal time, Eve will squeak with delight in anticipation of her bowl of yummy food being served to her. Eve is great with other dogs and would enjoy sharing a home with another friendly playful dog. She is a very playful puppy who would love to live with you. Eve is house trained, or close. She is crate trained and chipped. She is spayed. A fenced yard is required. We do not adopt to homes with electronic fences. No exceptions. Story
We adopt only in the Greater St. Louis area. In the words of his foster mom, “Toby is just the best boy!” He is a sweet and affectionate guy who will be there on the sofa with you, or happily on a walk. He likes his toys and likes to play. He will let you know that the Amazon guy is at your house, but he isn’t an excessive barker. As with most dogs he is very food motivated which means easy to train. He already knows several cues. Toby will do best as an only dog. His house is his house, and his toys are his toys. He prefers not to share his foster mom. He is a happy little guy who does well at running his house. He likes his sniffy walks. Toby is looking for a forever home with no children or other pets. Toby is 3 and a half years old. A securely fenced yard is a must. Story
We adopt only in the Greater St. Louis Area. Hello, My name is Fanny. I'm a four-year-old red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and I am highly skilled in cuddling and kisses. I am fostered with a senior female Shih Tzu and we get along very well. The only exception is she eats slower than I so I try to help her out. My Foster Mom does not feed us in the same room because I'm so helpful. My most endearing qualities are my engaging smile and I tend to skip when happy. I also like to lay across any and all available laps. I like staying near my human(s) whenever possible. Belly rubs and ear scratches are always accepted. I do tend to be a little skittish when startled by loud noises or aggressive movements. If startled, I tend to shut down and stay still until coaxed to play or eat. Treats always seem to make things better. I am fond of my crate and will happily spend my alone time in it. I sleep in little beds in my Foster Mom's bedroom each night. I have a wondrous bark that I only use when happy or startled. Fanny would do best in a home with no small children. A fenced yard is required for adoption. Story
Erin will be adopted in the Greater St. Louis Area or the Greater Kansas City Area. We do not adopt to homes with small children. A fenced yard is required. No exceptions. Erin will need a calm experienced home. I’m Erin and I’m 5 years old. We don’t really know what my situation was before I was rescued, but my life is so much better now. I’m very timid until I know no one will hurt me. Be patient and I will become your best friend. Loud noises scare me so no yelling please. Men can be scary but if they talk quietly to me and let me come to them, they can be my friend. I haven’t been around small children. I love going on walks and I’m starting to figure out how much fun toys are. I get the zoomies and will race around for a few minutes then quiet down. I’m good friends with my foster cat brother. I am probably too energetic for small kittens or other small furry critters. My foster mom calls me a silly girl, but I’m just so excited to go for a walk that my whole body wiggles. I’m the true example of a wiggle butt. I’m still working on walking calmly. Sometimes I pull and try to wander from side to side because everything is interesting. I’m working on being friends with bigger dogs. If I can take my time getting to know the bigger dog, I will be ok being near them without getting upset. I’m crate trained and after a minute of barking, I’ll quiet down when I’m left alone. We believe that Erin is a Corgi/Cattle Dog mix. Additional photos coming soon.
