My dog Rio is somewhere between 11 and 13 years old. He was adopted by me roughly 10 years ago, and in that time, he has been the most loving and loyal friend I could ask for. But due to my allergies, I need to rehome him. For someone considering adoption, please note that Rio is very protective of me, and he has exhibited protective behavior. This is largely because his previous owner was abusive. His new owner should expect to keep him isolated the majority of the time, and be prepared to take precautions when visiting the vet or groomer. If you are interested in my dog, I would gladly cover everything you will need to know including his history. I am hoping to find someone that will love him just as much as I have, because he really is a good boy, he just is confused. I will say however, when he is away from me, his behavior changes dramatically and he is very sweet towards others. This gives me hope and happiness that whoever adopts him will get the best version of Rio.

This unique chihuahua mix, with his petite frame and mini-corgi looks, has been on quite the journey and is now ready to settle into his forever home. Olivander is the type of dog who captures hearts instantly, with his soulful eyes and gentle spirit. He’s happiest when he’s surrounded by soft toys and the company of his humans, whom he adores more than anything. Olivander has a soft spot for children.
