Story
MEET KATIE! Age: 4 yearsWeight: 43 lbs  Breed: Welsh Pembroke Corgi   Katie is a spirited 4 year old Welsh Pembroke Corgi who was unfortunately surrendered because her owner fell ill and could no longer care for her. Despite this change, Katie remains a happy and resilient girl, ready to find her forever home! Katie is an active and loving companion who thrives in an engaging environment. She has experience living with cats and has done well with dogs, though she does have a natural herding instinct. This means she may occasionally nip at legs during play, so her new family should be prepared for this energetic play style.  Katie has a good understanding of house manners and is working on her crate training although she is not a fan. She can be a bit stubborn at times—typical of her breed! She has a vivacious personality and becomes quite vocal when she’s excited, which just shows how much fun she’s ready to bring into her new home. Katie would do best in a home with an active family who can keep up with her energy levels. A fenced yard is essential for her to run and play freely, as she is not suited for tethering. She also thrives in an environment with mature, dog-savvy children who can respect her space and engage with her in active play but won't be bothered with her herding instincts.  Katie does get a bit squirmy during nail trims and vet visits, so her new owners should be patient and understanding during these times. Previous breed experience will be beneficial to ensure that Katie receives the dedicated care and training she deserves. Katie deserves a loving forever home where she can feel secure and cherished. If you’re an active family ready to welcome a spunky girl into your life, Katie might just be the perfect fit for you! Let’s find Katie her forever home—she’s ready to bring joy and love into your life!  Katie is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayedADOPTION FEE: $300 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am Small, Adorable and Calm Doggie!! Hello, my name is Einstein. I am a 10-Year-Old Corgi/West Highland Terrier mix who is as cute as can be. I may also have some Boston Terrier in me as well, because I have an Under Bite (adds to my charm). I have a very SAD story, and I am also a Special Needs Doggie. Please keep reading to find out more about me!! I am a Well Behaved, Calm & Gentle Doggie!! My foster dad says I am a good doggie. I am very CALM and EASY Going. I do NOT chew things, and I have free range of the house. I typically stay off the furniture (but you do need to remind me not to jump up once in a while). I am an Affectionate Doggie! Like I mentioned, I am a pretty Easy Going and Calm doggie. I am also very affectionate. I GREET my FOSTER DAD at the Door when he comes home, and I will FOLLOW HIM from ROOM to ROOM as I love him so much. I enjoy getting HUGS and will ask him to PET ME. When he watches TV, I am always laying at his feet (I am such a SWEETIE PIE). I am GOOD for a BATH! My Foster Dad says I am really good for a BATH and I liked to be BRUSHED. I am also good for a HAIR CUT and grooming. I am NOT a FAN of NAIL TRIMS. You may need help to get my nails trimmed. Either a family member, groomer or vet may be needed to trim my nails. I am GOOD in the CAR! My foster dad has not taken me for too many car rides, but when he does he said I am a good traveler. I do ride safely in a Doggie Crate in the Back Seat. I am a SMART DOGGIE! I am a pretty SMART DOG. I know the SIT, COME, and STAY commands. I also RESPOND to my NAME. I have a limp, but I can also WALK NICELY on leash (just not too far). I am very FOOD MOTIVATED, so I can learn more if you want to teach me. That is right, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks!!! My Bad Habits! No one is perfect, so I want to tell you my bad habits. I was SPOILED by my previous owner. This means I BEG while my FOSTER DAD eats. I will bark some until I get some food. Once I get my food, I am a Quiet Doggie - I just tell people that I like to have some food too! I will also bark when someone knocks at the door, but that is normal doggie behavior. I am a SPECIAL NEEDS DOGGIE! About 6 Years Ago I jumped off the deck (like a lot of young dogs do). Unfortunately, I didn't land well and I broke my back. At first I needed a wheel chair to get around, but my former mom did physical therapy until I could walk again. I still have a LIMP, and I have WEAK LEGS. I can walk, just not very far. Also, due to the injury I need to wear a diaper. I know that adds a bit more work for my family, but it is worth it. I really am a SWEET, AFFECTIONATE and LOYAL DOGGIE!! My SAD STORY! You can tell my previous owner took EXCELLENT CARE of me. She did whatever she could to make me HEALTHY and HAPPY!! Unfortunately, she recently DIED in a CAR ACCIDENT. I miss my mom very, very much. Her son is doing his best to care for me, but his work/lifestyle does not allow him to care for me. He asked All About Animals Rescue to try to find a loving home for me. He really does want what is best for me. Are YOU the Right Family for ME? I am looking for a LOVING, and KIND FAMILY who can will care for me. I am great with EVERYONE, but the rescue suggests ADULTS and CHILDREN over the age of 5 YEARS of AGE. This is because of my back injury. I cannot be handled roughly. I have lived with CATS, and did very well with them. I have not lived with a DOG before, so we do not know. If you have a CALM and GENTLE DOG, it might work. Just bring him/her to the MEET and GREET to see how we get along. My Health! I currently weigh about 25 pounds. I am current on my vaccines, microchipped, heart worm screened and already neutered. I do have a limp, and weak legs. My foster dad said I am not in pain, just a bit slow at walking. For More Information! If you are a Kind/Caring Person, then please consider adopting me. Remember I am a CALM, WELL BEHAVED (a little spoiled) and AFFECTIONATE SMALL DOG. I do wear a diaper, so you need to commit to that additional care (but I am worth it). If you have any QUESTIONS or WANT TO MEET ME, please contact LINDA at 810-338-0888 CELL/TEXT or email her at LCSTAHL@yahoo.com. Linda is an All About Animals Rescue volunteer who loves me, and promises to do her best to find me the LOVING HOME I deserve.
