Story
Any Corgi lovers looking to adopt a sweet 4 year old? Chevy, a 4 yr old Corgi is looking for a place to call home. He’s a covid pup which translates to his socialization and exposure were very limited. He was bought from a breeder by an older gentleman who progressed in physical limitations and Chevy ended up spending most of his days in his crate without his basic needs being met; his world was small, filled mostly with shadows and silence. Despite the isolation, he’s a gentle soul who craves human connection, eagerly seeking pets and affection from strangers. With proper introduction, he’s friendly and playful with other dogs that he meets in a home setting or off leash, but leash reactivity is something he's working on. He will alert at noises or when the other dogs in the home get worked up, but he’s generally quiet. Chevy, understandably, needs house training because of the length of time he previously spent in a crate. He can be an anxious trickler/peer, especially if no one is there, or if he’s in a crate and gets anxious over noises, but generally clean in the home if there are people around. He’s truly a great boy who’s looking for a calm environment, a patient family to show him the ropes, love on him, properly care for him and teach him how to dog; he’ll blossom into a wonderful companion. Story
Meet Juliet (I love warm laps, cuddles and other dogs) PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. Meet Juliet, she looks like a bigger dog but she is truly small, only 15 pounds. Juliet is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet as well as excellent with other dogs of all sizes. Loves her zoomies in the fenced in yard and cuddle time. Playtime and cuddles-it is what she is about. What else you need to know about Juliet-we don't know much about her history but she initially may be quite fearful. it may take her a few days to feel really comfortable in a new home. Thankfully she is food motivated, that helps tremendously. Not aggressive at all, but may stay out of reach so she needs a family (no young kids please) that will be patient, happy to discuss that more, it is just about using common sense. (she has been with us since November however so we do know her well, she is doing so great in the foster home and is very loved) She will feel comfortable and safer so much quicker with at least one dog in the home. The perfect playmate for your dog.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqY7aHEHp1k https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lpCDKwW0sjg PLEASE READ-many rescue dogs are confused and scared when first adopted, they are in a brand new situation, the people are new, the home and yard are new, everything is new and terrifying. It is so important to check collars and harnesses for correct fit and hang on carefully to your brand new dog-even within a fenced yard until they are feeling more comfortable, coming over to you for scratches, etc. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped. Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment.-

Story
Meet Denton, the sweetest little old man with a heart full of love and a story that will melt yours. Left behind at a boarding facility, Denton was sadly abandoned at 10 years old, but his spirit remains gentle and kind. We think he’s part Corgi, and although his cloudy eyes make him bump into things now and then, his love for life is still bright!   Denton is well-behaved, quiet, and loves nothing more than to snuggle with his humans. He’s working on house training and is making great progress with regular breaks. This senior sweetheart doesn’t ask for much—just a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and a kind hand to guide him through his golden years. Denton does great on gentle walks and enjoys the fresh air, which is perfect for keeping his joints moving. He’s calm around other dogs, could care less about cats, and is simply happy to be by your side.   Denton is looking for a home to fill with warmth and unconditional love. If you'd like to give this sweet soul the love and care he deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast weekly. For more info and FAQs, visit crittercavalry.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 6, 2024, 6:14 pm

Story
❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Henry👋 an endearing handsome boy with cute unbalanced ears! Henry was found alone on a street in S. Korea at four months old in July 2021 and taken to a high-risk city shelter. Fortunately, having been rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team, he lived in a crowded private shelter with numerous dogs until July 2023, when he found a foster home. His loving foster family has been taking good care of him since. Henry has learned a lot about how to love and be loved by his people. He is full of charm and can’t wait to show it to his forever family! • Personality: Calm, Curious, Adorable Henry is a calm and independent pup with a strong curiosity! All he needs in the beginning is enough time for him to get himself accustomed to the new environment. He is not a big cuddler, but you can see some of his lovely sides once he warms up to you💕 First of all, his unbalanced ears are absolutely something to adore about him! His energy level is medium-low. He is mostly chill and spends most of his time at home resting. He only gets excited and active when having a walk outside. He is neither a barker nor a destroyer! • Affinity with - Dogs: Generally good with other dogs. He wants to say hi to other dogs on a walk, though he prefers calm friends and tries to ignore barking/hyper dogs. - Cats: No aggression but just excitement & curiosity. - Adults/Kids: Good with adults except loud/aggressive male adults. / He just tries to avoid kids when they approach. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered, pacing with his people without pulling the leash. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly going potty outdoors but he knows how to use pee-pads indoors when necessary. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: Almost none. Just a little bit when strangers come inside the house. • Car Sickness: in training • Appetite/Food Allergies: No allergies. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 • Likes/Dislikes: Henry loves being petted, going for walks, and meat! / He doesn’t like big gestures and sudden loud noise, though he is not sensitive to usual residential noise. If you have an open heart and a loving home for Henry, please don't hesitate to apply!

Story
Tig came from a corgi breeder in the midwest and is eight years old. He makes a lot of noise when another dog, stranger, or even a visitor arrives but quickly becomes everyone's best friend and is very affectionate. He was companion to our older dog until her death a year ago and they played very well together. We have family overseas and, since our retirement, have begun spending long periods abroad. Those long absences are hard on Tig and arranging care for him has become too burdensome for us. We are simply looking for a home with a dog lover where Tig can love you back.
