Story
Pirate is a year-and-a-half old 24-pound corgi mix. Saved by hero he now has a new chance at life and he loves life! This energetic, sweet love bug still has a lot of puppy attitude. He is potty trained, and he has quickly learned how to properly and politely walk on a leash. Going for long and exciting walks is his favorite activity as he loves to explore the beautiful outdoors. He would thrive best in a fenced-in yard where he can chase balls and play fetch with you, he never wants to stop playing. In the afternoons he also enjoys naps on the couch or in his pen. Someone active outdoors will make a great fit for this active little guy. Pirate is male-selective and takes some time to accept strangers. Someone with some experience with young active dogs would be the best for him, and a playmate would also be fun. This smart cookie will make you smile every day! Please be his special person because he deserves the forever family he dreams of. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Volt⚡️ Volt was found at Korean city shelter, where he had lived for a long time without a chance for rescue due to lack of space. When his health began to deteriorate rapidly with significant weight loss, he was urgently rescued. * Interaction with People: Volt is initially shy but allows gentle touches. Once he warms up, he becomes very affectionate, always staying close and wagging his tail enthusiastically in the mornings. Although getting comfortable with strangers takes him some time, a slow and steady approach helps him open up. * Interaction with Dogs: Calmly approaches dogs of similar or smaller size. May become intimidated by larger dogs and avoid them. They can be jealous, so careful supervision is needed around other dogs. * Interaction with Cats: He is slightly fearful of cats, so careful interaction is necessary, but he does not show aggression. * Separation Anxiety: Very attached to people; tends to howl and bark for about 20-30 minutes after family members leave but is currently undergoing training to manage this behavior. He can stay quiet if kept at a distance from strangers. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty. Rarely makes a mistake indoor. * Hygiene: He enjoys being brushed and tends to doze off during grooming sessions. He cooperates well during baths. He is not used to tooth brushing but is currently getting accustomed to having his mouth handled. * Walking: The dog enjoys walks but can pull on the leash when excited or encountering large dogs, sometimes barking if frightened. * Car Sickness: Initially restless but settles down and can fall asleep after a while. * Intelligent Volt can perform tricks like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'wait,' 'give paw,' and 'hello'! * Possessive over toys, may bark if other dogs approach while he's playing, requiring attention to manage his behavior. ❗Health Status❗ Finished heartworm treatment(needs to be rechecked on January 2025) 💟Special Notes💟 * Intelligent Volt can perform tricks like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'wait,' 'give paw,' and 'hello'! * Possessive over toys, may bark if other dogs approach while he's playing, requiring attention to manage his behavior.

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Tree 🌳 Tree was discovered living in an industrial yard where she gave birth to Eunhaeng and her siblings. The workers at the yard fed her, but one day, Eunhaeng was hit by a car and urgently rescued by Adogs. Tree was subsequently taken to a shelter. Eunhaeng has since been adopted by a family living in Abbotsford, BC, and fortunately, Tree was also rescued and is now receiving care at ADOGS Center. * Interaction with People: Tree is affectionate with familiar people, often approaching for patting. She is shy around strangers due to limited socialization. * Interaction with Dogs: She plays better with male dogs and may show aggression towards similarly sized female dogs. She is shy around new dogs. * Separation Anxiety: None; she manages well alone. * Potty Training: Currently living in ADOGS center, Tree only practices outdoor potty. * Hygiene: Unfamiliar with baths and nail trimming but is learning. * Walking: Unfamiliar with walking on a leash, gradually being introduced to it. *Health Status: Finished treatment for heartworm infection. Re-check is needed on January 2025

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST - PLEASE CONTACT MARSHA SHEFFIELD AT: 404-509-2875 for more information. I'm a 14yo Corgi mix but I act much younger than my age. I'm short, stout and less than 20lbs. I get along exceptionally well with other dogs, but probably wouldn't be good around cats, I like to chase them! I'm the happiest guy with a big personality, I love walks and playing in the yard. I'm, also, crate-trained but I haven't had any accidents in the house when I've been left out. I'm always excited to see my people, and especially enjoy playing with children. My owner passed away, and the family was crating me up to 22 hours a day. I would love to find a loving home where I can live out my remaining years being cared for and running around freely.
