Story
Hi everyone my name is Jasper and I am about to turn 9 years old and I am a Corgi and pug mix boy that is 24 lb and my 90 yr old  Dad is going into assisted living.   His family is not able to take me and let me live out the rest of my life with them so they have asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to find a foster for me and I have a really good one. I'm lucky because lots of people ask them every hour of the day to get a new place for their dog. I'm a good boy and I really like medium to small dogs best because big dogs kind of intimidate me. I haven't been around cats either so that is a BIG question mark. You can see from my pictures I'm quite playful and I have a great smile. I am a housebroken and I really don't need a crate because I'm a good boy when loose in the house and I'm minding my P's and Q's when you're gone. I've got lots of great healthy years ahead of me. I'm looking for someone special to spin them with. Someone that loves a good strong playful medium sized dog that does everything right in life. Because my original Dad never took me out with other dogs much, I am mostly defensive when I am confronted with other dogs.  They scare me honestly.   I just need to be in a home with no other dog so I can feel safe and secure.  Hard to teach an older dog like me new tricks. But I know someone will just want only ME to be their one and only, so I'm looking for happy people because I'm happy boy. I've got a great outgoing personality and I can help you make more friends if you just take me for walks and let me work my cuteness factor and charm.  I'm neutered, I'm totally vetted and healthy and I'm microchipped. I'm also very ready to spend the holidays with you as my new best friends and forever family . Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you would like to know more about me and apply to adopt. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 7, 2024, 10:18 pm

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 2.5 years (as of 11/4/24) Weight: 27.2 lbs (as of 11/4/24) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Jessie, a young soul full of life. We are thinking gentle Jessie is a Corgi and Dachshund mix. Jessie loves to play with other dogs, but we don’t yet know how she is with cats and kids. Her spirit is infectious, bringing a smile to anyone who encounters her. Her intelligence is awe-inspiring, always eager to learn new tricks and commands. Jessie would love to join you in basic group training classes where she can socialize with other humans and dogs, as well as build that fur-ever bond with you! She was found as a stray, her past unknown, but her future is full of potential. Jessie's personality is a testament to her resilience and ability to love despite her circumstances. Why adopt Jessie? She's not just a dog, she's a companion, a friend, a confidante. She's a beacon of joy and a testament to unconditional love. With Jessie, every day is an adventure and every moment a memory. Adopt Jessie and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and a whole lot of play. Medical Note: Jessie has a small deformity (likely genetic) in her right rear foot. This has been evaluated by a veterinarian and no intervention is needed and it does not seem to cause her any discomfort. She tends to lift the right rear foot when running. Medical Note:  This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia.  This does not mean that this dog had/has an active infection of ehrlichiosis, only that the dog was exposed or infected in the past. This dog is/has been asymptomatic while in SOS care and is being treated/has been treated preventatively with a 28-day course of doxycycline.  This dog is ready for adoption, though may continue to test positive for exposure to ehrlichia for some time.  Please see here for more information on ehrlichia, and please check with your vet before you apply to adopt this dog if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.December 17, 2024, 9:15 am

Story
Tess is an amazing 7.5 year old, 35 lbs Corgi/Shepherd mix. This beauty is very sweet, loving, friendly with people and other dogs. Tess’s favorite thing in life is snuggling, chasing balls or sticks, beach walks and swimming.  She’s currently between NY and shelter island and looking for a home asap!  Tess is house trained, vaccinated and microchipped. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $275, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! UPDATE:  ISAAC has had the surgery to remove his cherry eye and all is well.  There is no medicine or daily care that he will need.  This is Isaac a 2 year old, 15 pounder who was very shy at first but warmed up quickly to the other dogs and his new surroundings. He is house and crate trained, my 2nd rescue for 2024 and he is extremely close to his buddy BUZBY. He follows BUZBY around like a shadow. They have a great time running zoomies in the backyard and playing chase. They do know there is a difference between inside and outdoor play. ISAAC is quiet and gives soft kisses. He is not bothered by the other foster dogs in the home but his buddy is BUZBY and he loves him. We think he is a Pomeranian/Corgi mix, he white coat is very soft and smooth and he does not mind you giving him head rubs. ISAAC has a cherry eye but is scheduled to have it removed this week before adoption. If you are interested in adopting Isaac, please submit an application on the website below' www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.
