Story
Currently in a Vancouver foster home 🐾 Hello, I’m Bombom — a gentle boy ready for a brand-new beginning. I’m a Welsh Corgi–Spitz mix boy, about 7.2kg, with a small but sturdy body and soft white fur that everyone notices right away. People say I have a cozy, comforting look — the kind that makes you want to smile when you see me. In February 2024, I was rescued from a place where dogs were being slaughtered. Three of us were saved that day… and I am one of the lucky ones. Because of where I came from, people worried I might be afraid of humans. But surprisingly, I’m not. I love people — truly. If you call my name, I’ll trot over with my tail wagging, hoping for affection. I enjoy attention and I have a sweet, gentle heart that just wants to be loved. I get along naturally with other dogs and have a calm, easygoing social nature. I’m also great on walks — steady, relaxed, and lovely to walk beside. Being outdoors with someone I trust feels peaceful and happy. I’m more than ready to be cared for, cherished, and loved. Now, I’m waiting for a forever family who can give me a safe, warm place to spend the rest of my life. Please give a new beginning to a soft-hearted boy like me — a boy with fur as white and gentle as his heart. 🤍🌿 With love, Bombom 🐶

Story
Heya everybody!! My name is Tun Tun and here is some info about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Corgi/Tibetan Spaniel Mix (Best guess!) Age: 2 yrs 1 month approx Gender: Male  Weight: 13 lbs (5.9 kg)  Height: 34 cm (paws to top of my head) Length: 53 cm (head to butt) Current Location: South Korea RESCUE STORY - I was staying at the very overcrowded Gimje City Shelter in Korea, along with some other doggos. This was not very comfortable for me as the shelter kept us in small cages and some of the doggos often got sick. I really longed for some space to stretch my legs and some hoomans I could love on! Thankfully, as a Thanksgiving gift, some peoples rescued me right before the holidays and brought me to another (better!) shelter where I have been patiently waiting for my own hooman family to take me home. I hope that could be you! TEMPERAMENT - I am a super affectionate, friendly and easygoing companion! I just need to get a little comfortable with a hooman first so I may be wary to start with. However it doesn't take long for me to come out of my shell and once I do you'll get alllll the hugs and kisses! I also get along well with other pups and I enjoy playing with them. My rescuers say that I interact smoothly and read social cues well. I do very much enjoy spending my time resting and looking out the window, however you can really perk my ears by getting some treats out as I am very food-motivated!  ENERGY LEVEL - Medium  GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! I have been tested with older children as you can see here, here and here! Dogs – Yes! I get along and play with other pups very well! Cats – Unknown.  PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – Good. I enjoy going on walks and I do well in a martingale collar. I will sometimes stop for to sniff here and there but if I hear a hooman calling me, I will come! I may bark a little bit at strangers but once I get the chance to take a sniff of them, I calm down right away. I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success!  House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :) I have been known to do a bit of marking at the beginning to set my territory but once I am used to the place, I don't do it. Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES: I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records. I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying to Canada. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD ($750.00 CAD + 5% GST and 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and its adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Victor❤️ 💙 Victor's News Account: @jjamooong._ 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, dental scaling completed, and completely recovered from heartworm. * Due to a small fracture in her right molars and tartar buildup, special care is taken to brush her teeth. * To help improve her walking posture, she wears a CoBan wrap during walks. * Her paw pad is weak, so you have to bandage it or mind her step when going for a walk. 2.) Rescue Story * Victor was rescued by an Adogs volunteer while she was tied up tightly in a gravel lot. When found, she had clearly been neglected for a long time — food that had gone bad was piled next to her, and she looked frightened. But as soon as she felt safe, she wagged her tail and approached. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Might bark briefly when strangers visit, but this has improved recently. Wags her tail and asks for petting when she meets strangers during walks. Even acts cute if children come up to her and cuddles her. With familiar people, she happily flops over for belly rubs. Loves cuddling close to people. If you come home, she will hurry out to welcome you warmly. * With Dogs: Gets along well with her foster family’s dog and even sleeps beside them. During walks, she tends to react to unfamiliar dogs by barking or lunging. After receiving training, she has recently shown signs of calming down quickly and focusing on treats. Growls at first when she meets a dog at a dog friendly cafe, but stays still when they keep their distance. Is possessive of toys and sometimes tries to threaten other dogs when they play with her toy. Is getting training to fix this behaviour. * With Cats: Gets less excited around cats than dogs. * Separation Anxiety: Experiences significant anxiety when left alone, barking and scratching at the door. Does not feel separation anxiety when with other dogs or strangers though. * Potty Training: Is very good with using pee pads. However, she remembers the first spot it was placed, so consistency in pad location is key. Prefers to go outside if possible and marks with her pee only when outside. * Hygiene: Does excellently with baths and toothbrushing and enjoys brushing. Does not like having ears cleaned, so mouths at her foster parent’s hand as a warning without biting. Is very afraid of nail clipping, so it’s mostly handled through walks. * Walks: Gets aggressive when birds, or cats pass by. On days when she’s feeling irritated, she lunges with over-excitement and doesn't calm down when she sees other dogs. But on good days, she immediately refocuses on her guardian upon being called. Tends to pull on the leash hard only when other dogs are around. * Car Sickness: No motion sickness during a two-hour drive, but gets anxious when separated in the car. Tries to sit on your lap in such situation. If she’s tired, she will sleep on her cushion. * Biting: May bite defensively if you push her sideways, get close to her face, try to pick her up, or try to clean her ears. Be careful and take your time when you approach her. * Barking: Doesn’t bark even at strangers outside the door as long as they don’t ring the doorbell. Barks briefly when family returns to home. Also barks at times if new people suddenly stand up or make loud noises in the home. * Tricks: Understands the commands such as 'Sit down', 'Lie down', 'Turn', 'Nose', 'V', 'Paw', 'Wait', and 'Kiss'!

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Tree🌳 💙 Tree's News Account: @tree_adogs 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and completely recovered from heartworm. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Tree gave birth to #AdogsEunhaeng and littermates in an auto repair shop. The kind staff fed her and her puppies, but after Eunhaeng was injured by a car accident, Adogs rushed to rescue her. While Eunhaeng was adopted abroad, Tree ended up in a shelter. She was later rescued and is now being cared for at our center. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Fears strangers and shows avoidance behavior with her tail between her legs when approached. Once getting a little more familiar, she feels comfortable as long as you approach within a certain distance and she even takes treats from your hand. When being touched, she shows nervousness but is docile and accepts it. At first, she avoids even familiar people but once they pet her, she exposes her belly and even shows affectionate charm! Wags her tail and bunts her head, asking to be petted. * With Dogs: Plays better with male dogs than female ones. With friends that she likes, runs around excitedly and plays. May occasionally show irritability toward similarly sized female dogs. Needs some time to become accustomed to new dogs. * Separation Anxiety: Does not exhibit separation anxiety and spends time alone comfortably. * Potty Training: Currently stays indoors without going for walks. Does indoor potty only and is smart enough to be perfectly house-trained and never have accidents. * Hygiene: Is still afraid of being brushed and the sound of dryers, so we're going slowly. Gets her baths and nail trims done at the groomer, and she’s fine with the nail trimming. * Walks: Going for walks used to feel so unfamiliar and awkward that she would freeze up as soon as she steps outside. But now, she’s starting to follow little by little wherever someone she trusts starts moving. Is nervous about wearing a harness but getting used to it. Is continually practicing going for walks. * Car Sickness: Doesn't get car sick even during three-hour long trips and rests in the car. * Loves treats! Is interested in nosework and sometimes does it. Tends to like playing with familiar canine friends. * Is scared of strangers, so it is best to wait for her to open up.

Story
Hello Everyone. My name is Eidden and I jump, wiggle, and celebrate every bit of love I receive.  Here is a little info about me: Breed: Corgi & Anatolian Shepherd Age: 2.5 years old Gender: Female Weight: 21 kg/47lb Height: Between 43–48 cm Country of Origin: Turkey Energy Level: Moderate  I get along with: Dogs: Yes, but best around calm dogs.  I can get agitated around dogs showing aggressive or defensive behaviours. Cats: Unknown, but maybe not as I do have some natural prey drive for my breed. Kids: I love kids and all people, but older children may be better. Fears: I am super friendly, but am still settling in to my new surroundings.I may need some time in my new place as well - some patience and love. Training: I’m food-motivated and quick to learn! Leash skills: Yes, I know how to walk nicely on a leash with no pulling.  I am very aware looking up and around at my surroundings. House trained: Yes, but may need initial monitoring in a new environment. Health notes: Healthy.I’ve been fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Highlight(s): Cuddly, loyal, joyful, playful, and affectionate, also likes quiet time  About me: I’m a loving, joyful, and affectionate girl who lives for human attention. I adore cuddles, belly rubs, and treats — they make me the happiest pup!  I’m also smart and eager to please, which makes training fun and rewarding. I learned to sit in just two minutes! My story - It began in the most heartbreaking way. While driving on the highway, rescuers witnessed me being thrown out of a moving car. I was terrified, running in panic as cars rushed by. Thankfully, they stopped and reached me just in time — that moment changed my life forever. I was abandoned to die, but I was saved with love and care. I’m now healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home! Ideal Home - I’d thrive in an active, loving, but also calm home - maybe with a person or family who enjoys walks, adventures, and playtime.  I get along well with other dogs, but not tested yet with cats. Probably for sure with older kids, as not tested with younger ones yet.  I would love a home where I can be part of the person or family's daily life and feel safe and loved.   Videos:  https://youtube.com/shorts/K29X6Xf3-uE  https://youtube.com/shorts/nU8HT-6B1y0  https://youtube.com/shorts/TeK87Q6GmtI Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. ##2567833##

Story
Meet Ari Current Location : S. KOREA 📌 Breed: Welsh Corgi 📌 Age: Estimated 3 years old 📌 Sex: Female 📌 Weight: 13 kg 📌 Spayed/Neutered: Yes, spayed 💛 Temperament Ari gets along well with both men and women, though she seems to feel a bit more comfortable with female caregivers. She loves every human she meets on walks and eagerly rolls over for belly rubs. She has never shown any aggression and has only displayed a sweet, gentle nature. 👶 Good with Children? Yes. She happily greets all people, including kids, and immediately shows her belly. 🐶 Good with Other Dogs? Ari mostly ignores other dogs. Even when another dog comes up to sniff her, she acts as if nothing is happening and simply minds her own business. 🐱 Good with Cats? She has never met a cat yet. 🍖 Food Motivation She LOVES food. She finishes her meals instantly and enjoys treats as well. ⚡ Energy Level Ari has a low activity level. She prefers short walks—after about 15 minutes she tends to stop walking, likely because she is currently a bit overweight. 🦮 Leash Trained? Yes. 🏡 Crate/Kennel Trained? She has not been formally crate trained, but she loves having her own space. If you lay out a blanket, she chooses that spot to rest. 🚻 House-Trained? Yes. She uses indoor pee pads but also does her business well during walks. 🗣 Barking She rarely barks. She may bark briefly out of excitement when someone comes home, but otherwise she is very quiet. 🏃‍♀️ Escape Risk Yes — Ari is a little bit scary. She may run and hide suddenly when she feels startled, even inside the house. Extra caution is needed during the adjustment period. 🤗 Handling She absolutely loves being touched and will expose her belly all day for pets. No issues with handling any part of her body. 🧸 Destructive Behavior In the beginning, she chewed a computer cable, so everything is now covered. She has also torn a pee pad twice. Other than that, she hasn’t caused trouble. She’s still learning how to play with plush toys, so she plays only in short sessions. 🎁 Resource Guarding No signs of guarding food or toys. 🩺 Health Issues None at this time. 🐾 Rescue Story Ari was rescued from a breeding facility. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate, but also sometimes frightened due to her past. With patience, love, and a calm environment, she will blossom into a wonderful companion.
