Story
Hello, everyone!  I'm a vibrant 3-ish year old corgi mix and my name is Beene, affectionately known as Benny Boy by humans.  I arrived in Canada in December 2023 and have been fortunate to live with caring foster families since my arrival who've helped me settle into my new life.  As a special-needs dog requiring diapers/belly bands for indoors, I need an understanding and patient person/family able to commit to my long-term care.  I'm a lively pup with lots of energy, love to give, and excitement for what is to come!  Born in a small village in the Middle East, Benny’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. At just one month old, he was found whimpering alone under a tree. With his mother and littermates nowhere to be found, a kind human brought him to a shelter, where he spent 1.5 years sharing a small space with other dogs. Despite the challenges, Benny’s resilience and sweet personality shone through, eventually earning him a ticket to a new life in British Columbia.f Benny has met several foster families who've cared for him deeply, and where he had the opportunity to live with other dogs, which he got along very well with.  He thrives in the company of playful canine friends and would love a home with another dog or access to regular dog park outings. Benny is a true sweetheart who lives for human affection. He’s known for gently placing his paw on your arm or leg as if to say, “It’s time for pets!” His soulful eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. Though Benny can be a little timid when meeting new humans (especially men), he warms up quickly with patience and kindness. In fact, his current foster—a man—won him over in just five minutes! Benny is a fast learner, eager to please, and very food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s gentle, has no resource guarding, and is great with kids. Benny’s incontinence issue is likely neurological (undiagnosed). He signals when he needs to go outside for bowel movements but struggles with bladder control, which is managed indoors with belly bands. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, giving him space to run, play, and explore while making bathroom breaks easier for everyone.  Without documented separation anxiety, he is fine to be left alone for a few hours. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is by donation.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess. Loved at Last Dog Rescue is not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1675200##

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Happy❤️ He spent a long time trapped behind the fence of an old junkyard in South Korea. For over a year, a concerned civilian cared for him while the owner neglected him. After the junkyard was shut down, the owner abandoned him. The civilian continued to advocate for his rescue, and eventually, Adogs stepped in to help. Happy is now residing at the Adogs Center and received training to improve his social skills with other dogs . * With People: Is shy at first, but once he warms up, he constantly seeks to be patted, rolling over to show his belly. Is a sweetheart who loves having his butt patted. * With Dogs: Is a bit cautious when meeting new dogs, especially in his space. Is not very interested in the dogs with whom he shares the space at the center, but will occasionally confronts them if they irritate him. * With Cats: Struggles to get along well with cats. Sometimes shows signs of aggression, so it is best to avoid interaction with them. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he has not been left alone at the center. Stays very well with other dogs, and occasionally barks as a sign to greet them when inside his kennel. * Potty Training: Prefers to go potty outdoors 100%. May have marking issue indoors. * Hygiene: Tolerates grooming, baths and drying well when with people. Is an active dog who doesn’t enjoy staying still for brushing, but handles it very well. * Walks: Enjoys walks and stays in step with a walker without pulling on the leash. Loves sniffing around outdoors! * Car sickness: Does not get car sick at all! 💌Special Notes💌 * Likes snacks so much that he may bite the hand on which treat has been placed, so it's important to help him eat carefully. Can become aggressive when treats are given in the same area as other dogs, so it's best to feed him separately! * Occasionally barks at outside noises but quickly stops when you call his name.

Story
Meet Victor❤️ She was discovered in a field of pebbles, tied with an ill-fitted collar and rescued by an Adogs volunteer. When rescued, she looked terrified, surrounded by rotting food that had accumulated over time. However, she rapidly showed signs of relief and soon approached the volunteer wagging her tail. * With People : Initially barks a bit when strangers visit home but turns a cutie when being petted, coming next to them and displays affection. Is so fond of being touched that she immediately lies down and exposes her tummy when familiar people touch her. Enjoys being by their side. * With Dogs: Gets along well and sleeps together with the dog who lives at her foster home. Gets greedy from time to time but doesn’t bite! Assumes a defensive stance and she raises her hackles when she encounters other dogs while walking. Is receiving training in desensitization to get along with other dogs. * With Cats: Tends to be excited, but the excitement level is lower than when encountering dogs. * Separation Anxiety: When left alone, she appears nervous a lot. Occasionally howls or makes pee mistakes when left alone. Is getting training and improving step by step. Displays no separation anxiety as long as she is with other dogs or even strangers. * Potty Training: Is so smart that she can use the potty pads even in a new environment, but the potty pad should always be placed in the same spot because she remembers the original spot and tends to relieve herself there. Is adept at indoor potty but prefers going out to do potty. * Hygiene: Likes baths and enjoys being brushed! Is really scared of getting her ears cleaned, so she wears a neck collar when she gets it done. Shows defensive biting when her nails are trimmed so they are being worn down with regular walks. * Walks: Is a super skillful walker who can walk at a controlled pace. Tends to pull on the leash at the start of walks or when other dogs, cats, or birds pass by, so caution is necessary. * Car Sickness: Has become much mitigated with her car sickness. Becomes nervous if she is separated from humans in the car and wants to sit on their lap. * Has mastered several commands such as 'Sit, Lie Down, Turn Around, Paw, Wait, House, Kiss, Cool, Nose, and Come Here'. * Rarely barks! Barks on the rare occasions but stops barking when she is told to sit. * Is greedy with her food and fights may occur, so she must be fed separately from other dogs. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @jjamooong._

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Tree 🌳 Tree gave birth to #AdogsEunhang and littermates in an auto repair shop. Story
Meet Fran🧡 He entered Korean city shelter at just 3 months old. Despite his young age, he remained at the shelter until he was nearly 1 year old, eventually being placed on the euthanasia list. He was temporarily housed at a veterinary clinic before being rescued by ADOGS. • With People: Fran loves people! He eagerly greets new people by rolling onto his back for belly rubs, showcasing his affectionate and playful nature. He adores attention and is always happy to receive pets and cuddles. • With Dogs: He generally gets along well with other dogs and socializes easily. However, he has a particularly strong bond with his former shelter mate, Pril. • Separation Anxiety: While he currently lives in a communal shelter environment, Fran does not appear to have significant separation anxiety. • Potty Training: He is accustomed to outdoor pottying only at the shelter. A transition period may be needed to adjust to indoor potty training if necessary. • Walking and Outdoor Behavior: Fran is still getting used to walks and may need gradual leash training to feel more comfortable outside. • Car Sickness: He has done well on short car rides (20-30 minutes) without issues. Longer distances have not been tested yet.
