Story
Meet Rigby, the 7-month-old coon hound mix who is essentially the canine version of Forrest Gump—if Forrest had a tail that wagged like a windmill and a talent for tripping over his own feet! 🐶 This little speedster can run like the wind, but don’t be surprised if he suddenly goes tumbling down like a furry bowling ball, leaving a trail of giggles and confused squirrels in his wake! But Rigby is not just a fast runner; he is the definition of silly and goofy, always ready to turn any dull moment into a laugh-out-loud spectacle. If you’re not careful, you might just lose track of him as he zooms past you like a furry rocket! His clumsy antics are sure to entertain, and he’s always finding new and creative ways to make you chuckle. Whether he’s chasing after a butterfly or giving you the classic “oops, I didn’t see that” look after a tumble, you’ll find it hard not to smile around this lovable goofball. Already house trained, Rigby is ready to settle down. He’s sweet, loyal, and always ready for a snuggle session, especially if it involves a cozy blanket and a snack. Rigby is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on a mission to find his forever home, where he can unleash his silly antics and share his love with a family that appreciates his unique brand of charm. If you’re looking for a furry friend who will keep you laughing, tripping over his own feet, and on your toes, Rigby is your guy! Don’t miss the chance to adopt this delightful little boy—he’s ready to bring a whole new level of fun and laughter into your life! ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Story
https://foha.org/pet/colt/ Hi everyone my name is Colt. My name would have you thinking of a young energetic horse, romping and running in a field. While I am not that old and do love long walks and an occasional dash around the yard, I am just as content relaxing and taking naps. While I am kind hearted and happy with the people I know, I am weary of strangers and new situations. Basically, even though I am a big boy, new things scare me. Because of this, I would do best in a quiet home with no children and a very experienced owner. If you are willing to take the time to get to know me and help me with my insecurities, please fill out an application and one of my favorite volunteers will contact you to discuss further before you come out to meet me. Check out all of the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/

Story
Opal is a total sweetie, she loves attention and loves to cuddle. Loves playing with her fosters dogs and is great with the kids in the house. Now she does get overexcited in her play sometimes and needs to be reminded to take it down a notch, but she is responsive to correction and again loves the attention. We think Opal needs a loving but experienced family who has another confident dog who can help her steady herself when fear takes over. She is a young gal whose past haunts her but we are trying to help her realize the world ain't so bad. We ask that you give Opal some consideration..all she wants is to be with you. She is spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives. This dog's adoption fee is $450. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training - no exceptions! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and will need to be spayed/neutered at the age of 6 months. Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Frank is 4.5yo, weighs 92lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  "Frank is the most incredible dog I could have ever asked for, when it is just him and I.  He is fun, goofy, loving, and playful.  But, he is very weary of strangers.  He warms up to people, through proper introduction, but he does have behavioral issues.  I am currently working with a trainer to help Frank as much as possible with a transition to a new home.  Frank knows basic obedience, such as 'sit', 'stay', 'paw', 'come', and 'place'. Frank's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  "My girlfriend and her 11yo daughter are moving in.  Frank has done extensive training, but we do not fully trust him around such a high energy child.  Frank does really well outside of my home, but has gotten protective since only living with me the past 2 years." BITE INCIDENT:  On 20 October 2022, Frank bit his guardian's girlfriend's hand; the bite broke the skin, animal control was not involved, and only home first aid was administered, as it was not a major injury.  Frank's guardian explains:    "Typically when anyone comes to my house, I have Frank in the back yard or on command, like "place", away from the door.  This day, my girlfriend walked into the house unexpected and I was on the phone in the other room.  Frank greeted her at the door and let her give him affection.  She was petting him when I came into the room.  Frank looked at me, then looked at her, and then bit her hand.  It did puncture the skin, but he let go immediately.  He went to cower in the corner because he knew he had done something wrong." Frank's guardian offers a brief medical history: "Frank is on medications.  Apoquel for his allergies, and Prozac and Trazodone for his anxiety." Frank's guardian states the following regarding children:  Frank hasn't lived with children, but his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Frank has had limited experience with children outside of the home.  He has barked in the past, but he has also let them give him scratches."   Frank's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Frank hasn't lived with dogs, but his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "Frank is leash reactive when he sees another dog.  However, he seems to do fine with them outside of the house, so long as the other dog does not get aggressive." Frank's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Frank hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Frank's guardian describes him as: Very active Couch potato Quiet Playful Shy Affectionate Fearful Always at your side Indoor dog Outdoor dog Nervous Separation anxiety Frank's guardian describes his ideal future home: "The ideal home for Frank would have alot of property or a big fenced yard where he could play and chase squirrels.  He would be able to just be a dog, have fun, and go on lots of walks.  Sadly, I do not know if he would do well around children or pets, but I have seen him do well outside of my home.  I just want Frank to have a loving home, wherever that may be.  He can be alot of work at times, because of his past, but he has been my best friend and it has been so worth it.  This has been the toughest thing I have ever had to go through.  I just want him to be safe and happy." Rehoming Fee:   None Location:  Towson, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. If you are interested in ADOPTING me, please CLICK HERE:  ADOPT ME 2.
