Story
Everyone meet Wrangler! Wrangler is available for adoption through Maury County Animal Services! He wasn't a big fan of the kennel, so he is being fostered by Hound Dog Holler and enjoying time running around and playing with friends! If you want the houndiest of hounds, Wrangler is the guy for you! He can be sweet and loving, but can also raise cane and hoot-and-holler. We're working on putting some more weight on the fella, but he's an energetic guy and loves to run. He'd be a great addition to anyone with some space and a fence!

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $150.00   Birdie   Surprise! I bet you never expected to find me at SCMR! I'm always excited and zooming around and being goofy! It's just so good to be off the street! I'm 32 pounds of enthusiastic Coonhound or Birddog puppy...don't know yet! But I'm not more than 5 months old so everything is new and exciting to me! And I'm a girl.   I was dumped on Signal Mountain, TN, and got picked up by a Good Samaritan who couldn't keep me. So I was about to get dumped again, but I ended up with this nice lady at SCMR who couldn't let me get re-dumped! She says I'm real smart...have learned Sit and Lie Down. But that word NO is giving me some problems. This place I'm at is pretty small and doesn't have a yard. I sure would love a big fenced yard to run in. That's a must! Hey, I'm real good at Fetch! Anybody got a couple of young boys who would play with me?    And listen to this...I'm house trained! Yep! I know what a pee pad is for. But I'm a nature-girl and really prefer the outdoors for personal business. No chip but I've had all my shots and got spayed, whatever that is! I really, REALLY want a forever family. I'm just bursting with kisses and enthusiasm. Foster mom says I'm a real sweetie when I've worked off some of my energy. She named me Birdie and I like it! I knew right off when she said it that it was my name.   Come and get me! I'm in Chattanooga, TN, tearing up all the plants in her garden and having a blast!   Adoption fee: $150.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible, as allowed by law,  as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization.    All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS!    for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link: November 4, 2024, 6:23 pm

Story
Meet Dolly! Dolly is a Coonhound blend that is approx., 36 pounds small and almost a year old. Dolly is super sweet, loving, funny and full of energy, but also knows how to calmdown. She will get vocal only when she sees a bag of treats and wants one. LOL Dolly was found wandering on a highway emaciated, but now healthy and medically vetted and would love a forever home. Dolly is a great indoor dog; she lets you know when she has to go potty and she is also crate-trained. She does know a few cues already like sit. She is good in the house but may grab the occasional sock, but outside of that, she doesn't bother anything. Dolly would require a private fenced-in yard only because she can climb out of a four-foot chainlink and should not be left unattended or she can be walked on a leash. She does great around other dogs and would do best around older kids since she is still young and rambunctious at times. Dolly would also love a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member that will give her the kind of attention she deserves. Dolly is a precious gal that is an excellent companion dog that loves to ride, go wherever you will take her and would love plenty of exercise, outdoor activities, and quality time. Dolly is now spayed, and up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested positive but is almost complete with treatment plus microchipped. She will also leave us with a care package as a gift. Story
Junior can be shy at first but he is very sweet. He seeks out attention from people and wants to give them hugs. He wants to be near people and get lots of loving. Junior is nervous about first meeting other dogs. He will play with gentle, friendly dogs but doesn't really like being around pushy or rowdy dogs.
